My First Canyon Ride

So this morning I went out with Nigel, a vlogger I actually met on youtube (but realized he lived like 10 minutes from me), and we hit Ortega.
He has an 03 zx-6r, and I was on my ninjette.
It was my first time over Ortega, and my first time in a canyon ever, and it was an absolute BLAST.
I'm definitely addicted, and I can't wait to get back out there.

Now I get why everyone loves it so much

As for the ride, we made 2 passes over Ortega going both ways. I was nervous at first, but I held my corners pretty well.
I only had one real scare, at one point I knew I was hitting a turn too quick, and I straightened up, ended up crossing into the other lane, and onto a turnout on the other side of the road where I braked pretty hard and locked up the rear.
That scared me pretty straight, and I took it a lot slower after that.
And to note.. I wasn't trying to keep up with him, he took off, I was just going a little faster than I should've been.
But all in all it was fun, and I can't wait to do it again
