Decided she looked better in pieces across GMP
Took the ninjette to Gateway this weekend as my track bike was still in pieces, all was well until the second to last session of the day, last lap. I signed up for Novice and most of the group was pretty slow in the corners but blasted by on the straights.
After most of the day like this, the red mist got me and I lined up to carry enough speed out of the corners to get by on the shorter straights. Well that only works well when the other rider doesn't drift out wide. Instead of slowing down and just getting back behind I moved all the way out the curbing but kept the throttle down, lost the front, and that was that. I'm fine, a little bruised (and irritated with myself), but the right side of the bike is junk as are my leathers and gloves. That being said, another note to all: when the space isn't there or your forcing it, slow down and wait for some open track |

^^ indeed. Great little bike on the track though, truely was a blast railing her along. I started putting the track bike back together when I got back home, like I should have in the first place (rather than ruining a perfecting good street ninjette). I may look into a set of race plastics and some protection for double duty on the ninjette now cause she was just as much fun as the 600 on the track.

Glad to hear that you're okay at least. Are you looking for replacement fairings?
