Resolutions, anyone?

My goal is to finish my dog's training and get her certified as a therapy dog.

I probably should pledge to drink less beer, but I try to keep my resolutions realistic.
Happy 2015 everyone!

resolutions are set to fail and usually un realist. how about a few simple goals to accomplish then set new ones when the first ones are accomplished.

I like goals better than resolutions, more specific and hopefully achievable.

1. Stay healthy and fit ( and happy)
2. Spend more time with my wife and daughter
3. Win another Vetter Challenge and break 200mpg

Happy New Year!

To love more, to fear less; to feel more, to think less.

Not to forget 2014, not to ignore 2015 !!!

"The fatal metaphor of progress, which means leaving things behind us, has utterly obscured the real idea of growth, which means leaving things inside us." - Gilbert K. Chesterton

Happy and challenging 2015 to all !!!

Careful what you wish for... my cat poops in a lemon tree and then buries it.

Mine are simple... ride the dragon, ride Putnam, ride new track in KY, ride mid-ohio, epic ride (all with my hellmut and all rubber side down), get good grades, and finally teach cat to poop in pan next to tree.

I also want to shake more hands and laugh harder than I ever have, bond with friends and fellow riders.

Pssst, the 300 is easier to pick up than the 250. The built in handholds under the tail sections work wonders.

But I own a 250...

It's also more of a single flight of stairs gets me winded. And carrying things even <50lbs is hard. I'm weak.

I was hinting at an upgrade lol. I found that I never had any leverage when picking up the new-gen 250 because I didn't have a good place to grab whereas I can pop the 300 back up easily. Not that I've had many experiences or anything... *cough*

My uncle teaches motorcycle officers. The first thing they learn is picking up the bike. If you have any bike officers ask them when they will be training and watch. Ask the instructor for help after the class.

Oh I've watched folks picked up the bike, and really watched the videos on walking it up backwards. i can't get my arm back and down far enough to grab the tail and the handlebar and when I do, I'm stuck. If I do get it moving, it just slides along the exhaust.

May it be time to patent your own method and shared via your blog?

One of these around the exhaust and there will not be more sliding.

No joke I drink a gallon of water a day (I pee clear by the end if the day). I don't go anywhere without my water and I don't eat if I don't have water.
As for fruit I had a lot of apples at Christmas (apple had a pie wrapped around it). The blueberries were hiding in pancakes.

These are more goals than resolutions since I'm already near perfect

New Year's Resolutions:

1) Get a job as an EMT basic.

2) Participate in at least five tracks (which means I need to finish my bike build by march).

3) Crash only two times.

4) Gain ten pounds (Yeah, gain).

5) Pick a major (Cellular engineering maybe?).

6) Mooooooooovee

7) street bike?

8) ...and that other thing?

oh! I know my resolution now. Get this bike work done by May AND get the motorcycle out to school so I can ride the durned thing this summer instead of moping about not riding. that's it. chone is gonna burn through the center section of his tires out in flat and square boringland.

I'll think of something else by June. Constant life improvements.

Now that we have done a number of track days, let's go on a street ride. Yin and Yang ya know. Or... we can do some dirt, the choice is yours.

Werd. Lets start planning this after your trip to Jennings so you're not having to bobble multiple things at once. I think I can manage one Friday off work and book it S to Falmouth. I think you're about 6 hours of highway south of me when I'm at school.

Why don't you both join us at the epic ride. Did you know hocking has cabins with 3 rooms 2 bath a hot tub and full kitchen? Split 4 ways it will be less than 50 a night.

When it starts I will. It will be soon, it will be on OHdN. But, I always add a thread here when it starts.

FYI the Dayton meet planning has started, details will follow in another thread soon.

7) Riding on the street is awesome!

1) By the end of April I hope I have the new job.

2) It may come later this year but I love riding and I don't mind spending money on it!

3) But what if I do! My goal is to do a 1:40 at the track by the end of the year. The record is somewhere around 1:32 (gsxr 750) and my best time was a 1:58. I was barely pushing, I'll try to keep it that way, as it's served me well so far.

4) I gained five since I started lifting! My goal is to squat 350 lbs. At 250 now.

7) I want a 2 fiddy!

8) still have a whole year for more goals to set

Good luck everyone.

This should be very attainable!!! I did about 2400 miles between two bikes this year. A little over 500 on the MTB and a little over 1800 on the roadie. If I wasn't splitting time, either bike would have had more mileage.
