Back in the saddle!
Hey!
I just bought a 1994 ex250 a few weeks ago and was finally able to bring it home today. It had some. . .issues. Anyway, I've been riding for about 10 years and on and around bikes for nearly 20. I started on a 2002 ex250 and moved up to an sv650s for about 8 years. I loved the SV, but I'm a little person (5'1") and while I could ride and handle the performance side of the bike, it always felt big. So after taking a couple years off from riding, partly to move from San Francisco to NYC, I've got the bug again (just in time for winter, smart me). I'm pretty new to the east coast, and brand new to driving here. I barely know how to get from my house to manhattan via streets, so if anyone wants to share good destinations and things to check out I'm totally open. I'm used to Oakland/berkeley where you can go get lost in the hills for an hr or two and have a great ride without any effort, I don't think that sort of thing exists here but if it does, please let me know! Otherwise: I'm just here for the inevitable day when I need advice, have a story to share, or can't ride cause there's a foot of snow outside but want to dream. Hope that wasn't too verbose  Leah |

Leah, you're in a great riding area. Just not in the city. North shore of the island is good, Connecticut is great, up-state is great, New Jersey is great. You will have to bare the traffic to get to these places though.
