Left handlebar controls on new gen?
Parts diagram on Kawi's site isn't too helpful. It's all taken apart as in the choke lever is completely separated.
Are there any pictures showing how to put all of it back together? What I should have done is just loosen it up and slip the whole assembly out when replacing the handlebars but what's done is done. D: |

Guess I'm winging it. I'd imagine it wouldn't be that much more difficult than putting the right control assembly back together.

Yep, it was easier than I thought.
It's amazing how Kawasaki made the bike. Everything just fits together like a puzzle. The choke cable had a little plastic piece that slides right into the rear of the left handle bar control, then there's a little piece of plastic on the rear piece that fits into a hole made in the handle bar so that it's at the correct distance. Then of course everything is plug and play like a PC tower. I've been told the old gens weren't that easy. Oh man, if anyone needs to get introduced to wrenching, this is the bike to start on. |

It doesn't look hard. The choke cable fits into a little channel, and the lever fits into the same channel, with the end of the cable fit into it. The housing has a little pin that lines up with a hole in the handlebar. You just get that pin lined up with the hole, and screw the whole thing back together. The clutch handle perch can then be reinstalled, and the clutch switch reconnected with the electrical connector. Slide the grip on, reinstall the bar end, and you're done, I think. If reassembling the right-hand side is any indication, the hardest part will be holding the choke cable and lever in place while lining the pin in the switch housing up. |

I work for a Logistics and Warehousing company (sorta)... So FIFO is king when you have items that expire.

How the Business sold is and how it was documented are my favorites!
We actually showed that in as a slide in a QBR once.
