Portuguese - Track - Project

Hi guys,

i started on trackdays three years ago, one time per year... money is not much in my wallet.

The first time the modifications were:

- ZX-6r (636) '03 front brake radial master cylinder;
- Akrapovic slip-on exshaust;
- Braking complete hose brake;
- Brembo SA front pad; -> not recommend for track!
- Brembo SP rear pad;
- Brembo DOT 4 Sport.EVO 500++ fluid brake; Like very much!
- Bridgestone BT090-110 and 140;
- K&N filter
- advanced ignition (hand made); -> imperfect for injection version like me.
- Powermadd E3.38 spark plug;

The Brembo SA pad for track isn't good because the temperature of work is to low. Look the graph with temperatures.

This day was more than 30 degrees and half-sessions was unbraked because the pads were very hot and brakes didn't brake... one time one of the times was in the curve at the end of the main straight!´

On the final of the day I decided start a owner enterprise for motorcycle subject -> www.reclance.pt

Hi guys,

today I write about my second trip to circuit with Ninja 250R.

I went with more following mods:

- Plastic Bike race fairing;
- Brembo 19RCS;
- BREMBO Axial P4 30/34 Caliper Gold;
- Brembo SC frant pad;
- Disc 320mm (I don't know the brand);
- LeoVince LV-One EVO II full line;
- Cylinder head (home made):
- admission and exshaust polished;
- 0,1mm
- Pirelli Rosso II 110 and 140.
- Renthal complete kit:
- front sprocket - grooved 14T;
- rear sprocket - Ultralight, 45T RCW
- chain - R4 520 SRS.

The feeling of RCS19 is awesome and the power of brakes is good. Otherwise I feel the disc is oversized too much and 300mm is enought, but the deal was unmissable. I bought on eBay ( disc, caliper other radial master cylinder and hose brake) all this for 75€ (+- 98$ in 2013). At the moment need change the disc because the floatings have clearance and other don't work well. The 300m offer vantages with gyroscope effect and the weight is less.

The tyres Pirelli Rosso II compared to Bridgestone BT090 are super, the feeling and confidence is better. The next time I will try (I think) the SC1 on front.

The last trackday on circuit the gear rate is too long then I decided change the number of teeth in rear sprocket... at the moment I pull up gear on curve because the redline is more faster than original rate gear.

... and bought a new tracksuit and gloves.
