Fairing Assembly Order

I'm getting ready to reassemble the fairings after painting. It may sound like a dumb question, because when I actually get to it, it may be apparent, but maybe not. It's a new-to-me 2008 Ninja, so once I am more familiar with it it will get easier.

Is there a chart showing the order which fairings are installed?

Anything regarding bolt sizes would help as well.

Next time I will write it all down as I pull it off, put small parts in plastic with labels and twist ties, etc.

Thanks for any help here.

The lowers mount to the upper/front so the upper/front needs to be installed before they are. The tail can come first or last but the left side goes on before the right due to the way they overlap. Unpainted side cover things are the last to install no matter whether you choose to install the front/upper+lowers first or the tail first.

The bike has been painted
(ooooh its an awesome Maseratti metal flake deep blue) and is going back together, s-l-o-w-l-y...

The front fairing windshield is pretty straight forward. Two lower windshield allen bolts and two side allen bolts.

Problem: with headlight wiring reconnected, no light with key turned, good battery, taillight/other lights OK.

I tried reversing the connection, no go. Any ideas?

The light only comes on after pressing the starter. It stays on after hitting the kill switch though.

Thanks CZroe, now I know!

What are the correct size allen bolts which hold the mirrors to the frame?

Any idea if the plastic rivet-style clips can be found at TSC , ACE hardware or Menards/home depot/Lowes'?

If you look at these Fiche drawings, all part numbers/sizes/etc are shown and sold, but a quick google search can sometimes get you better prices. http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID.../Group/Cowling

Edit: if you don't feel like looking at the drawings, the part # for the smaller rivet/clip thingies is 92039-0060 and for the larger size is 92039-0014 and the # for the 5x20 bolt to hold the mirror on is 92154-0216.
