Man this is such terrible news. In tears even though I didn't know him, it still hits home so hard. It's a strong reminder for us to think that life could be over at any moment. We should all consider what happens after death - we might meet our Maker sooner than we expect!
The story about what happened to cause the accident still doesn't quite make sense, can anyone provide more detail on that?

As for donations, this is hard to kind of say, but now that Alex has passed, the time limit for stetting up a donation account does not matter. If you guys who know him personally want to set one up and do not know how, call me and i can explain it to you over the phone and walk you through it. When i first heard the news in class browsing forums i recited The Lords Prayer and Hail Mary out loud, everyone looked at me funny, I will recite another now. God speed.

Heaven done called another knee dragger back home.... Sleep well.
I really hate hearing about this lost - really grateful to be part of a group of people who are A+ all the way around. I knew I kept coming to this forum for a reason despite not owning a 250r for almost a year. I smile with a heavy heart....

I can't believe it...I was talking to him the other day. I know things happen that we can't control, but the carelessness of others has taken an innocent young life.
Ethio or Alex was a bright guy and willing to help others as much as he could. I hope there are endless twisty roads for him to carve out. RIP Alex...you will not be forgotten. |

I have seen too many senseless deaths.
Many years ago, a very close friend was killed in a very similar situation, also suffering severe damage to the brain. My friend could only live 20 years, and just like Alex, he was a genuine human being. I felt deep and long sadness back then; today, my heart is in pain one more time. Only those who are parents can understand the magnitude of this tragedy. My deepest condolences to Alex's parents; may my God help them during these terrible times, the worst of their lives.

Just checked in to see what I'd missed in the past few hours. So sad. He was such a genuinely nice guy. This is still soaking in... it's breaking my heart to think about a guy so young and full of life and now he's gone.
Everyone make it a point to tell the people around you that you love them in case a time comes when you can't. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbFu2O_z8cw This song is in German, but basically it they sing about the missed opportunities to say thanks to the people in your life before you go. Partial translation: thank you, it was nice,

My first mod was inspired by how well it looked on his bike. I'll always think of you when I look at and remember dremeling through my fender bro. Thanks for making us laugh with your scooter videos and informing us with your drive by videos.
If all of you that have cursed the person who allegedly caused his death really mean that, rethink that. It doesn't seem to me that Ethio would wish any wrong to her if he was still with us. I'll pray that his family can forgive her and that she can learn something from this that may benefit some one else. Ethio my bro (like he called me when he PM'd me) I know that if they have them where ever you are, you'll be dragging knee off a scooter somewhere and yet still be wearing All The Gear, All The Time. Intercede for us up there, so that we may continue enjoying our lifes' as much as you did yours.

This hit so close to home for me. I miss my little brother every day. He too died in a bike wreck, last October. he was 23. The injuries were also parrallel, down to the brain swelling. I did not have the pleasure of getting to know Ethios, but it sounds like he was a great guy, just like my brother Jake. I am sure they are up there riding together, tearin it up. Jacob, take care of Ethios. I will keep his family and friends in my prayers.

My heart dropped in my chest when I read of his passing. And then my eyes watered. And I didn't even know him. I can't even imagine what his family and loved ones must be feeling. This is just so sad. To be taken off this earth by another person who disregards a stop sign. That is just so ****** up! Rest In Piece Alex. I'll see you in another life, brother!

Rest in peace. I didn't know him but I know I've seen some of his posts. Praying for his family, and hoping hes up in Heaven riding the bike of his dreams all over. Lets not let this be in vain though, we can all learn from this. Think about it at stop signs and all the time riding, he couldn't control what happened to him so maybe this can make us all that much more aware. Again, R.I.P. you'll be missed Ethioknight/Alex.
