He means go wide and Yes! it will. When you downshift the weight will go to the front and you go wide. You can try to countersteer more at the risk of the front washing out.

Don't overload the front.

It makes me wonder how long she has been riding. One thing I hate is when more experienced riders ride a lot faster that newbies. It kinda makes them push beyond their comfort zone to keep up. Not that it's the leaders responsibility, because the newb needs to know their limits even if that means trailing far behind more experienced riders. But still... when a newb is riding they want to ride together. At least that's how I am.

Anyway how long has this lady been riding? Seemed like a preventable mistake...

@ninja_sleeper: I was thinking that too. The guy in front of her shot through that corner pretty fast. It's still the fault of the wee nooblet for riding beyond her limits (been there done that!), but in the interest of her safety the guy in front perhaps shoulda taken it a bit easy.

Whenever I'm with someone new, I take it easy and point out rough spots and gravel and whatnot in the road.

Although it maybe the riders responsibility to not ride over their heads...
As a new rider it's very easy to get caught into the catch-up mode and enter a corner too fast for your skills.
The lead rider should've kept it slower, if this lady was in the back of pack, no one would've known she went down!!
I refuse to go on rides now w/ a local forum group because they did not alter their speed to accommodate all on the ride. I almost wiped, rear end was dead out to my right side, re-gained control and pulled over for about 15-20mins to regain composure (no one in group ever knew, came back, called, texted anything). I decided to just go home instead and 3 hours after I left the group I got a text "you go down?" (bit late if I did huh).

That sucks yo! No experienced sweeper during your group rides? No waiting at the stops and sending someone back to find what might be down/lost riders. Dood.... Talk with them about it or find another group to ride with.

I let newer riders in front and let them set the pace.

She is a very new rider, and she does what I think way too many people are trying to do instead of learning more, she buys a camera and wants to be a vlogger. That takes quite a bit of concentration. I enjoy watching some of the vloggers but it sure scares me to see these brand new riders trying to vlog before then are very good at riding.

^^^^THIS.

As someone looking to start riding very soon and looking into everything, I am shocked at how many newbs I see on youtube shooting video footage from the perspective of a beginning rider... it's neat to have that, but I don't need video ootage or you concentrating on videography... just write about it in detail laterif that's what you want to do. I see so many people who have a vlog going and go down a few episodes in, or making mistakes on the video, but rather than watching their footage, seeing, and correcting, you just see them continuing the same mistakes in further episodes while they are focused on showing everyone stuff... it's scary to watch sometimes.

I don't really like narrating my riding, just filming it. If I really need to say something, subtitles

Watching again, it looks like she was a little thrown off by that second curve, maybe she didn't anticipate it. I wonder if that was her first time on that road.
