@gogoKawi i have woodcraft rear sets, and many other people also doubted i dragged my kick stand so i posted some not so great pics of where they drug against the ground in post 31. I drug it the first time in the corner after the long straight but it was a much slighter scrape and didnt cause the bike to get upset like the 2nd time did.

definitely was fun and will be going back for sure. they just started uploading novice group pics (the photographers said they took 4000 of the novice :O) so far only 400 are up at like only 2 turns of the track

A big fail to me for not reading the whole post.

If you were dragging kickstand through that corner, either your preload was at the lowest setting or your shock is done. Based on the video, you weren't leaned that far over. You should have had some lean angle to spare. Only reason I say that is because that's the turn where I try to see how far I can lean over on the left side. To date, I haven't touched stand there. Now the hill that was coming up... I definite stand drag right at the top. Scared the crap out of me last time that happened.

I know you have some work to do on the bike. I would look at getting your suspension evaluated too. It might be time for a refresh, especially for an 08. My preload is as high as I can get it, and I'm 160 with gear on. Any softer and it would be trouble on that track.

indeed, someone else mentioned the suspension and it is on the lowest. Previously i had never ridden at a pace like that before so it use to be fine. but getting that adjusted will be something to do before i get back on the track. ill probably hit up the suspension guy there at the track

Like most dedicated track bikes, I've removed the sidestand and cut the tab entirely from the frame. My current limiting corner clearance is the stock footpegs. I've worn down two sets of toe sliders already. I really need to get some Woodcrafts on my baby. Anyone got a line a less expensive than new option?

If you still have the stock suspension bits on your 250, don't waste your paper on the track suspension guy. Just set the ramp preload on at least 3, or higher if your butt tells you to go higher. When your ready, upgrade the front and put the rear on 5. When that starts to suck, get a gsxr rear shock or the likes. Otherwise, your looking at about 5-7 big faces to do all the upgrades at once with the help of a tech to look thinks over when your done.

That sidestand may cause a crash for sure unless your bp is extremely good.

a resprung gsxr shock and some springs and oil up front shouldn't be more than $300 after all's said and done.

I have these. They are fantastic. Replacement parts are sent pretty quickly. I got a new shift rod in a week.

Woodcraft sells their rearsets in a kit without the billet shifter and brake lever. That's what I did, saves some $$$. You just need to re-use the oem shifter and rear brake lever.

Can you measure/estimate how much up and back these move the pegs? Thanks for the link. I hadn't heard of this brand.

Does the rearset work with the stock levers? I would think there would be some issue with reach. Thanks for the info. I had seen the kits, but couldn't find any good info about them.

The half kit includes a longer shift linkage rod to reach the shift arm on the transmission. The rear brake pedal has no issues reaching since the pedal and master cylinder all attach to the right side rearset. There might be some interference with the shifter if you do not remove your kickstand and cut the mounting bracket off the frame. I don't know for sure since I cut those off my bike before installing the woodcrafts.

Oh cool. I've already cut/ground that off my track bike (required in our race club).

I didnt buy any cause i wasnt too fond of any they got of me. But this is how they set it up now so you just gotta scroll through all of them and find me lol. I found it very annoying that they didnt post any of me on the big bend (the fast corner before the long straight) as well as the last corner there after andddd it seems like they ran out of film in just a couple hours cause there are no pics past like id say 1 pm in there

The bp you think you're doing and what your actually doing can be very different. People feel like they are " hanging so far off the bike" but in reality it's not far at all.

the pictures I saw of you definitely confirms a difference between what you think you are doing vs what you actually are doing.

my first recommendation has been upheld.
