seriously? I've used the same straps since I first got my 250 a few years back. I don't even see any wear on them.

When I am not chasing championship points, budget to burn, and too much time on my hands. But really.... I just need a reason and a hole in my schedule to fit it in.

there are a few good times with motorcyclexcitement in august/sept that may work for you @csmith12 I'm planning to do my 3rd and final track weekend of the season around that time at shenny.

Next season I'll be hitting the track more often and cycling through my 250 and another bike (likely a street/track 600)

@Old Lemon I just learned that the 14th is at summit main which is a dull track on a 250 due to the length of the straights so I'm only going to do the 13th. I still need to double check that I have the wiring harness installed on the truck already but if it is I have no issues with helping you get to shenny on the 13th and back home afterwards.

@Sirref i am totally down to just go on the 13th as that was the original plan with my friend with the r6. U-haul says they need to inspect the towing vehicle prior to them giving us a trailer but i need another week or so to confirm that i can go

I'm familiar enough with Uhaul to know what they'll be looking for I just don't know if the truck has it until I have the truck in my possession (which will be soon)

I don't mind that you need a week to figure out if you can go or not since I'm signing up and paying for the track day July 2nd or 3rd anyway and you're generally fine with trailer rentals so long as you reserve them a week or so ahead of time.

Ideally if we go this route I'd like the trailer rental place to be as close to you as possible so I can pick you up, go get it, come back and load the bike up and the reverse process when we're done.

That is one good location to set up a uhaul then, they likely have more than one moto trailer too.

Oh man, I am totally going to Shenny when we convince Chris to come down. It'll be a ninjette.org party!

I'll be at NJMP for a 2 day event next week, and that'll probably be it for me for a couple months. Then I'll be looking to hit up Shenny once before the season is over, probably in September. DOOOO EEEEEET CHRIS!

I haven't planned when my 3rd track day will be, sept would work especially if we can get a large ninjette group in on it

Okay it was actually kind of right after the exit of a corner. I was trying to pass a slow guy on a gsxr600. I let him do his "straight-line hero until I park it going into the corner" routine and get away from me a little while I went into the corner with much more speed. On the exit I was closing in rather fast on him when he stopped drifting out towards the edge and his bike was straight up and down, so I went to pass him on the outside. Then he decided to start drifting back out towards the edge when my front tire was about even with his rear. I went wider and wider until I looked at the edge of the track, panicked, target fixated and couldn't take my eyes off the edge of the track while telling myself: "OH F*CK, OH F*CK, OH F*CK! WHY AM I GETTING CLOSER TO THE EDGE OF THE TRACK???? LOOK UP YOU STUPID MOTHER#%$&^ER!!!!" I went off the track and by the time I was off the track, I was already trying to get back on without scrubbing any speed and when my front tire hit the edge of the track the bike went into a tank slapper. The back end came around enough to pitch me over the bars doing about 65 or so. The bike and I both got some sweet airtime though.

I went off the track right about here: 47.256030, -123.186996

TLDR: I target fixated and went off the track and came back on inducing a tankslapper into a highside.

I was doing a trackday on very minimal sleep and was probably dehydrated. All that happened to me was a hip subluxation. Basically, my right hip popped out of the socket and popped back in. I couldn't walk without intense pain and crutches for nearly two months while everything healed up. I'm lucky and glad that it was only my involved in the incident. Learning experience to say the least.

well a couple weeks ago he crashed his R1 on the street and totalled it, he hit gravel and lowsided and the bike went into a curb. So currently while that is in the shop he just has the R6....which will now also be in the shop. But i didnt ask to ride it since it was his only ride

that makes sense to me, sorry to hear he also wrecked his r1. That helps explain why he was so bummed about his crash.

:'( I didn't see the helmet after the crash, it looked cool when I saw him heading past my spot to get on the track each session
