Ninja Cafe Racer!

Hi all,
This is my 09 ninja 250r. I bought it brand new, within 3 months me and my buddy chopped the frame, and built a new rear section. The turtle deck is a front fender off a Harley that my buddy had sitting in a trash can. I cut it and welded it. the headlight is Harley, clip-ons are wood craft. Rear sets are stock, but I bought a adjustment plate. The exhaust is completely custom, The seat pan is homemade, I used the old cover and used some foam from a fabric store. The fork brace was made out of aluminum, I cut it with a jig, used a drill press to make the speed-holes, and used a lathe for the other pieces. The coolant reservoir is a aluminum spun water bottle I got at Target for $2.99, pipe nipples, tubing and bed liner paint and there, new reservoir. The carbs have been re-jetted, they sport some K&N filters, and The back sprocket is a 49 JT with an OX chain, the gauges are off ebay. The Paint is a one off from my buddy Jimmy. I learned a lot from this build. Took about 6 months 4-5 days a week and a LOT of late nights! But it was definitely worth it, and its a blast to drive.

wow look at that. i think the only thing i would change is i like the way the area P headers look better, and that seat needs some love. and after riding with no front fender for months ive realized how wonderful they are so i would put a tiny one on. also the tank sides need some kind of cover or something. i hate the way batteries look so i would get rid of that too.

pretty classy. props.

That's a very nice looking bike. Only gripe I have is the stock headers are so awkward they just throw everything off.

Yeah throwing a magneto in it would be ****. The rest of the "electronics" are tucked under the deck.

This is an awesome looking bike! Definitely going to be stealing some of those ideas for my build (1976 Kawasaki km100 converted to 250 motor and 12V system and cafe'd out).

Dude I think his rear end would look good on your bike too. Especially if you go through with that sportisi swingarm thing/hugger. That would be beastly.

Alot! It feels like a BMX bike with a 250cc. As far as aeros, with the rear sets and clip ons the way they are you lay across the bike. Without my friends skill, tools, and assistance, this would have never got off the ground. Eat humble pie, watch , listen, and do. This is how you gain new skills!

^^ how loud is that puppy? I assume that's just a straight pipe?

I think a megaphone style exhaust would look awesome on that. I think this bike might be a case where a Jardine GP-1 would actually fit in perfectly with the look of the bike. Plus if you're currently running straight pipe, this might also be the only bike that the GP-1 would make quieter too

It was ungodly loud. My buddy and I built a homemade exhausted, its got a good sound. Where I ride the louder the better, between the old ladies, and the morons texting, it good for them to hear you.
