Most powerful bike you've ridden?

Wondering what the most powerful motorcycle people have ridden is.

Given, being a 250 crowd -- I'm not sure what kind of replies this will turn up.

For me a it was a honda CR500 two-stroke. The power came on HARD when you opened it up. Top speed wasn't all that much, but that thing really scooted when you opened up the throttle.

An aprillia 550 four-stroke twin was pretty close as well. Pretty raw and a lot of torque.

My SV1000. So far, about 108 HP and 75 ft lbs of torque. Once I get a PowerCommander, I'm looking at 120 HP and maybe a couple more ft lbs.

It's a tractor. Literally. Pick a gear, add throttle and go! Really hard not to hooligan this thing too often....

Rode a friends ZX-14R for a very short ride and another friend's Fat Boy, again, for a pretty short ride. Both were brilliant machines in their own right, but I didn't really find either of them to be too comfortable. What really amazed me though was how effortlessly they put on speed and stay there... Lol

My other or main bike which is a seriously modified VFR800Fi Y2K model, last of the gear driven VFR's with measured 120whp, carbon wheels, upgraded brakes & most everything else too.

I had a 175hp, 175mph endurance race bike in the 80's that was scary fast but very exciting and fun. Now I have a 186hp, 200mph street bike that is easy to ride, exciting and fun.

It would be every bike on the left besides the ninja, and a Cr250 each in their own way.

Edit: to expand upon this, the Xc 250 just has power everywhere, and its awesome for a 250 two stroke. The Hypermotard is the most torque I've ever had on two wheels, and its a lot of fun, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and twist means you are wheeling. The Fzr is textbook the most powerful bike I've been on, and its got a hell alot of ass, but it's smooth and predictable and awesome. And then the CR, its got 50hp (2 less than my 250) but it has it like a ****ing sledgehammer to the face, it rips your shoulders out of socket, and its a battle to keep it on the track (unlike my Xc which pulls hard from idle till 12k and it just pulls harder and harder as you rev it, want more power, just rev it higher).

I've seen a cr500 two-stroke engine in a crf250 frame.. but it could never be street legal because of the noise from the two-stroke.

My friends 06 SV1000 and my new 14 Ninja 650r, both have basically the same acceleration, but I suspect the SV1000 will have a higher top speed.

The most powerful bikes I've owned were a 2nd-gen ZX-10R and a 2nd-gen ZX-12R. Most hp ridden was a S1000RR. Spent some time on a ZX-14; felt the most like a fast couch. While bikes have gotten progressively faster / more powerful, the preciseness/smoothness in how they deliver that power makes them much easier to ride. The ZX-12R was eye-opening, requiring a very smooth throttle hand to keep the rear tire from misbehaving. The ZX-10R, with a bit more horsepower, was much easier to manage. The S1000RR even more so.

I have seen street legal Cr500af's before. I even saw one where we put Aprillia Rs250 wheels, and swingarm on an aluminum Honda frame, with Onlins suspension. (Given I don't know anything about that bike, I just saw a picture album and tried to figure out what parts he used.)

2010 BMW S1000RR. It was wicked fast but it didn't have much character. Would probably be a lot of fun on a track. Which is where it belongs.

Right up there with the BMW was a 2014 Aprilia Tuono R. So much torque. On the street the Aprilia felt like the more powerful bike.

I'll take a V4 over an inline 4 anyday.

It was OK. I like the fit and finish of the levers and grips and such more than anything else. Engine was smooth though.

My current track bike, "lola", a 2008 ZX6R. Not to quick, but quick enough that I still can get a rush down the straights.

My XR650L is a tractor, and has the most torque out of any bike I've ridden. Good time.

After reflecting on my answer of most powerful bike I have ridden. I said turbo busa.

But that is misleading. I have ridden turbo busa s and other stupid fast bikes. BUT. I think the question should be . Most powerful bike you have ridden at full throttle. Big difference.

So I will change my answer to Aprillia Factory Milli R1000

As the SV owners know, the V-twin produces huge torque anywhere in the rev range. Any time you have wrinkles in your jacket sleeves, twist and your arms will go straight.

It doesn't have the unending speed of the ZX-10R jet fighter...

but it does have the pulse elevating, sweat producing, terror inducing, raw brutal unrefined I F'n DARE YOU attitude.

go on... twist that throttle... see what happens.
