I feel as if that's your general attitude recently towards the forum, not posting 40+ posts/day every day and all.

only 2 votes away from a 3 way tie for the best month of the year! (best month of the year has nothing to do with weather)

If there's any month I could choose to win it would be this one. Granted you can re-vote at any time so nothing is set in stone just yet anyway.

I'm on the forums a LOT and I don't sleep, I take 2-3 naps per day which simulate a full night's sleep. Don't know why that is but falling asleep is difficult for me and when I do I usually have to wake up for something within a few hours.

To anyone not paying attention, alex.s is on the west coast and I am on the east coast. So his 12:47am is 3:47am to me and it's currently 5:18am for me.

Don't sleep at night? 2-3 naps per day? What is your job?

I'm a student who is working at a restaurant, for a bit I was working another job at ups in the mornings for a few months but the total workload was draining me so I quit that job. Classes are from 8-9am to 2:30pm mon-fri and my restaurant job is 5pm-10pm/midnight/2am depending on the night. The remainder is free time. I tend to take a nap on campus for about an hour and a half between my classes as well as one after classes on days when I don't work or before classes on days when I do. I typically sleep 6-7hrs per day total in 3 increments mon-fri and 2 sat/sun. My sleep schedule has been naturally effed up for years.

Wow! I guess so!
I'm one who struggles to nap, no matter how tired I am. Summers when I am on my own schedule without teaching interfering, I can sometimes doze off on the couch, but to nap takes a shot of good luck for me. That said, I need a solid 7 hours each night, 8 or 9 when I can get it, and I'm usually sleepy by 10pm. Doesn't make for a night owl, party animal!

I dont even party that often anymore. Typically I'm reading books or surfing the web. Working on "Pride and Prejudice" right now. The book is not entirely what I expected it to be.

Ooh, heck yeah, I love Jane Austen, but she does have a bit of a flair for her own style of plot and writing. Ever heard of librivox.org? If you're into classics, you can download the ebooks for free from there.

Thank's for the heads up, I think I'll stick to being a regular at my local library unless I can't find a book there or one is checked out already. There's something about reading a paper book that draws me in a bit more as it doesn't make my eyes dry out like a computer screen does.

No, the thing that most people feel they don't have enough time for is daily meditation.

you should meditate in silence and disconnection from the world around you for 15 minutes each day, unless you feel that you are too busy to do so. If that is the case meditate for half an hour instead

I'm right there with you! The "e-books" on librivox are audio files. I enjoy listening while I'm exercising or working in the yard.

daily introspective contemplation and external input filter and focus practice is important for helping you manage the stress and annoyances that build up every day. and visualization training is a great way to improve your planning skills (esp for the track!) i'd be far more insane if i didn't meditate.

I'd be certifiable without it, I figure out all of my financial **** as well as every other important decision (including which decisions are or are not important) while meditating.
