Yeah, I just haven't made it yet :P

I rode it about 30 minutes like that, and just because of the ergonomics change, it's more comfortable than with the stock seat. I just had to avoid bum to bolt contact.

Yeah I'll probably be there the 28th. By then I should have my wheel bearings changed, a new fender on, a permanent seat mount, a decent muffler, and I'll probably be going back to the stock airbox for now.

What? I thought the CB550 of that specific year came with stabilizers, which allow the bike to remain upright when not in motion!

That's the tappet adjusting screw that blew out and took the tappet cover with it. The thing visible through the hole is the rocker arm. The threads in there is where the tappet adjusting screw goes. Below the screw is the valve.

damn..SHOULD be fixed?...damn..thats a pretty big "should" and kinda sux you gotta wait a while till you get discounts. its understandable tho. they dont want people working there for the discount then bailing after...

Well, best case scenario, I just need to replace the tappet screw and nut, MAYBE the rocker arm. Worst case I bent the valve, damaged the piston, and dropped some debris into the cylinder.

I'm really kinda hoping for the latter, so I have an excuse to do a big bore.

Heh, this started happening after I did the initial damage (the damage in the picture happened during a test ride after I cleaned my carbs (I thought that's what was wrong).
