Oil change question
After doing an oil change I put 2quarts in watching the level in the view circle as I did so. After 1.7 quarts the circle was full and I started the bike. The oil light went off but watching the level in the circle it went down to the point you couldn't see any oil. So I added the rest of oil essentially adding 2 quarts total oil. The level in the circle went up til I started the bike again. It dropped a little and now it is only filling up the bottom 1/3 of the view circle. Does it need more oil? The oil cap says 1.9 L which is little less than 2qts. There are no leaks that I can see. Thanks.

when the engine runs, the oil pump pumps oil from the bottom crank case into the internal passages of the engine and up into the head.
check the oil level with the bike completely level when the bike is cold and not running

 oil level needs to be check when engine is not running. bike must be completely level |
