noob from san diego

whats up guys,
my name's alex... i'm from san diego, CA and i've got myself a red little J-series 250R with a full S/S yoshimura exhaust (way too loud

) with a dynojet kit, and a chopped rear fender (of course).
i'm a new rider, having completed the MSF course mid sept.09 and buying the bike late sept, but i'm just hitting my 2000 mile mark. previously, the only motor-bike experience i had was a few 50 and 40cc (around 12hp) 2-stroke pocketbikes. I've grown a very fond appreciation for mountains and rivers the past month and a half, but i'm looking to start getting into track riding next year and as such plan on getting new rearsets/clipons/sprockets/plastics for the occasion... of course this is a long way away at this point.

Ah yes, forgot the gear!
I'm wearing Tourmaster "Solution WP" boots (absolutely love them) with tourmaster "Caliber" textile over-pants. a scorpion textile jacket, and scorpion Exo-1000 helmet (smells like chocolate, wth!) and speed&strength gloves. also sporting a CVS 50-pair jar of earplugs

I have a 15 tooth JT sproket and a 150 rear tire... I'm really diggin the 15 but I'm gonna need to get another chain the mech had to push the 150 rear a tad "more" forward ( stock chain ) than I would have liked.

Hows the dyno? I think thats my next mod. My Ninjettes currently nekkid! I'm prime-ing the side fairings after a mishap. But that forces me to do my white and silver paint job!!!

Lemme know.

Definitely!
I absolutely recommend a jetkit, it made a WORLD of difference in power and especially in convenience... i hardly ever need to mess with the choke now. (just remember that you'll need to rejet if you change exhaust, so if you haven't already done your exhaust, you may want to do that first/at the same time)
i'm jealous about the white/silver look... i had to replace one of my side fairs ("lower cowling") but didn't have the presence of mind to go white at the time... now i'm planning white for my track plastics
