it is....for now...
...gonna get her a Rebel..she dropped the bike a third time, she's uncomfortable on it she says, and not confident.. i'm dying for a supermoto...but since we bought this and it's been dropped..we're keeping the 250r..so i got a new bike lol. so far, i really love this thing, it's great. i've already done a full drop kit from shogun, frame sliders, spools, etc, got the monkey integrated rear.proton flush signals on the way and a new relay for the flasher. soon to foolow a tyga full system and probably factory pro jet kit. we're out Ewa side...you in town? |

yeah, i live and work in town. haven't had my ninja for about a year and a half now (about there), but i still visit this site.
trying to keep my mods on the vfr modest. a limited aftermarket for the bike is making it easier. it gives me more money to mod my money pit, the mustang. did your wife try riding or sitting on the yamaha v-star (virago) 250? that was my msf bike. looks like a cruiser from some angles. |

hmm..no, didn't think of that. we shall go see if one is on island...such a bummer that alot of bikes just aren't carried here. like currently.. NO REBELS IN THE ENTIRE STATE!! she was a bit miffed about it...so hopefully one of those here
fo rher, she is already more familiar with the rebel and i like that fact, but you have def brought up a great alternative..she is 4'10" sooooo lol. mustang eh..terminator? |

oh, she is looking for a new bike? yeah, well south seas on nimitz sells both hondas and yamaha.... plus bmw and ducati
unfortunately, the mustang is not a terminator. it is a 2007 GT. got a hellion single turbo kit in it. it is currently an automatic, but that is changing next week. going to be swapping trannys with a fellow club member. upgrading the shifter, clutch, and flywheel since the tranny will be off the car anyways. |

man!! i wanna get a run against you!!!
yeah..new..we got her bike from the south seas in waipahu.cos well..south seas of nimitz wanted 1k more..stupid.pau with them already. no need go there and get ripped off. they also wanted $400 for her full lowering kit from roaring toyz..i got it shipped for 281.. no offense if you like them..jus like the waipahu store..less pressure due to the lack of harley and the far less military officers buying harleys aspect lol probably try to find a 2010 model...got the 2010 ninja for 5100 flat out the door lol...i thought that was a great price |

i think you are talking about cycle city nimitz. they sell kawasaki and harleys. yeah, i wouldn't buy a bike from those guys. fancy dealership but their mark-up is pretty bad.
south seas nimitz is honda, yamaha, bmw, ducati south seas waipahu is triumph, kawasaki, harley i did buy my ninja from south seas waipahu and i got my vfr from their nimitz dealership. i do like the low pressure and friendly atmosphere of both south seas dealerships. as far as racing your subaru. 1) we don't have a track, 2) i don't street race, 3) i would lose. LOL. |

ahh.. i knew they were affiliated but didn't realize the waipahu store didn't sell yamaha..poop. went to flueger to look for the rebel, should go check on their yamaha supply as well.
lol not my subie..that thing is slow...i meant my 84 jetta. understood on street racing..the whole thing track situation is changing fast..got some good developments going..jus no need to be out in the open for the people against to make it even more difficult. the 07 is the 4.7l yes? |

ah yeah... that is right. i remember your video about you street racing with your two friends in bmws on the freeway. if you can dust those two like that, there is no way it would even be close. besides, only on a few occassions have i even gone over 80 mph (ever since the new law). so even if we did race, once i hit 80 i would have to let off the gas. LOL.
yeah, the 96-10 GTs are different versions of the 4.6 L. |

what is your take on the new motors? that new V6 is making more pwoer than the outgoing V8 and the new V8..WOW!!
ford is starting to step up...looks good. once i'm down with my two years and can go on motorcade....Cadillac CTSV...oh yeah.. to me that is the motor Ford should aim at dominating....the baseline vette motor is quite nice..and it's like ford has spent time refining alot of other stuff now it's motor time. |

the new motors are pretty impressive. the 3.7 v6 doesn't make as much as the 2010 4.6 v8, but yeah it is kind of close. 305/280 for the '11 v6 and 315/325 '10 v8.
still, very respectable for a v6 MUSTANG to be able to go mid 5 0-60, 14.0 1/4 mile, and 0.95 on the skid pad. i am glad they finally decided to ditch the truck 4.0 L the new 5.0 v8 package as a whole is pretty incredible. ford racing also sells a supercharger for it for $7,500 more that will bump the power from 412/390 up to 624/536. the 2010 mustang was already beating the camaro and challenger in comparisons. now it isn't even close. i think that is why they put it up against the bmw m3... which it almost beat... ford racing also sells a $6,000 supercharger upgrade for the gt500 which will bump the power up from 550/510 to 750/719. as far as trying to dominate the 550 hp cts-v engine... idk. they are meant for a different type of customer. plus the cts-v is a much more expensive car than the gt500. they basically put out the same power although the caddy has more torque. damn... wrote too much. don't get me started talking about mustangs. lol. |

no do talk!!
i agree..the new Gt is a serious fukn package man!! and yes the ctsv is a very unique customer and setup vehicle wise. the v6 has def caught my attention, i agree the mustang has been a better package than the camaro for liek ever..but i jus think, until now, that ford has eally skimped on what they COULD/SHOULD be doing with the mustang..305 sounds like what it should've been years ago for the v6..and the 7500 for an OEM huge bump SC setup..CCHHHEEAAPP...you'll spend that much for a blower, install.software and exhaust aftermarket.. very cool stuff.. i have to be honest..i built a street car, after years of having tracks readily available all over the country, and being a comp licenses instructor(and racer!) for SCCA in multiple classes.PDX and HPDe..i wanted a street car..call it going backwards... so at 1946lbs full tank, no driver and 420+whp and 360ft.lbs..i got a sleeper....which is what i went for..the 30mpg+ daily is the serious plus side lol. but, the 250 is fun and i love cars in general and i was 2 wheels before 4 so gettin back to my roots!! keep talking i'm hooked!! |
