I like the tank whistle

Maybe I'm odd, but I really like the fact that my bike sings to me. She does it routinely, even while riding.

I can see how it'd drive some people nuts, but I enjoy it.

Mine sounds like one of my cats sad meow so i rub the tank and say we will ride soon. This happens everytime i bring her out of the garage and let her have a little bit of sun while im working on her outside.

Ok...I sense some emotional attachment to our bikes going on here. I guess I have to admit I am the same way.

I like it too, it gives the bike character. For some reason when I'm washing it, the tone changes and it sounds like its making noises of joy.

When its REALLY hot outside it just says "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPP" censored

When you pop the cap to feed it, it says "AAAAHHHHHHHHHH" refreshment"

The bike has feelings too. When it makes the sounds I feel like its crying for me to give it attention.

Mine only whines AFTER a ride, like "Why are we done already"? So I open up her gas cap so I don't have to hear it anymore...

I love giving smartass answers when people ask what the noise is.

"Oh, that's the warp coil. It's just getting a little overheated. Nothing to be too concerned about. These things almost never blow up."

"It's the oscillation overthruster."

"Howl? What howl?"

And of course, the ever-popular

"Flux capacitor charging."

Considering that I've named my bike Aria, it certainly sings, no matter if it's moving or not!

(Some people aren't used to it, though.)

The bike has flatulence problems! Always venting gas loudly! I don't mind it, I mind having to explain to people what it is, does not really make Kawasaki seem like they pay much attention to detail, would a Honda or a BMW do this, don't think so.

So I assume the whistling is not a problem or anything serious?

Nope, perfectly normal and not a problem. Just a result of how Kawasaki designed the tank air pressure vent in the gas cap.

Just a heads-up though if your tank's whistling and you have trouble starting the bike, might pop the tank open to help it equalize pressure.

Mine did it in the downtown area of where I lived recently while I was in the right-hand lane. Some people on the side of the road appeared to notice and look. I looked back and said "excuse me".

haha, I thought it was just me that had this problem, glad I searched for it. Mine seems to hiss at an annoyingly high pitch though. Wish I could fix that.

When I bought her, she made the noise too. But lately I can only hear a silent blowing sound. Anyone knows how bring the sound back?

I was sitting about 30 feet from my bike talking to a fellow biker and some guy was looking at my bike and she started to sing, I told him he better back up a little bit thats just the warning alarm and if he cares to find out what the real alarm is like just give her a lil shake and see what happens....He took about 3 steps back and she stoped singing so it was perfect Lol
