revs lag coming back down
Anyone know why and no air leak and carb is clean set to 2.5 turns

Quick lesson in mechanics 101 ::: out of sync carbs, valve adjustment off, throttle cable lube and adjustment, lean lean ohh so mean free of charge

I had a second hand bike that did that. Turned out that the previous owner had fitted on carb needle above the holder so the needle took a while to settle back as it was inside the spring !!! But either way you have excess fuel or air.

Another issue, leaking decel valve vac hoses....either at the valve (upper) or between the carbs (lower) If original, sometimes harden, swell and leak vac when hot. If they are simply present...most folks check them off as "ok". I've found otherwise....what I describe is fairly common. Try and pull them off the valve...that'll quickly, easily reveal whether loose. My personal preference.....I want any/all vac hoses to be *tight*.....no leaky.
