I might but I won't know until later. Too much family stuff lately. If it straightens out by then I'll make it.

Hey I don't know if this is a typo on their website but the three day special is for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday instead of sat, sun, mon.

Is that how it normally is?

Usually their 3-day special is Saturday, Sunday, Monday, so that is odd. I can only ride two days anyway. The track will be open that Saturday, November 8, as well. Happy birthday to ME!

You wanna ride down to Athens and we could figure out our way there together? I'm planning to ride down, but if you have a trailer, we could figure something else out and save you some gas $$.

Well the plan is generally load up the truck

my track bike isn't street legal unfortunately, now I do have very inconsistent income so I could make more than I expect to and would be able to make it but at the moment I don't see it as particularly likely

Alright I redid some math and canceled my track day at shenny on oct 28th

gonna be super strict with my monies but I should be able to barely make it
gas bill to get there and back ~$340 (just $10 shy of the entire shenny day budget)
signup $260
$10 gate fee (20? may bring a copilot for the drive)
$40 electricity fee (without this my phone would die and I wouldn't get any sweet video)
$150 drink/food/the unexpected
may need to get some new tie down straps, will check them ahead of time

let the headaches begin from the caffeine withdrawal

unfortunately as my income is incredibly inconsistent we'll know if I'm rolling in easy street or struggling to make some ends meet by the end of oct.

No electrice fee, that is only for 220 (campers/toyhaulers) -$40 + I have genny
Gate fee... yes ($10 per day)
Just get to Mid-O or Cincy, ride with me from there. You seen my track rig, I got this for you -$200 in gas at least
Straps - +$20 at wal-mart
Food/Drink - up to you but I will have plenty to share

^mid O/cinci is almost the same distance from me ~120 less in gas

we'll see closer to the date, if I'm not strapped for cash I'll ride with you but I'd prefer to have my truck with me if possible and may bring a friend as well

They measure from across pit road at the start finish line- which is about 15-20 feet away from you as you will be full throttle in 6th...hopefully.

Suggestion to be less noticeable is to stay towards the left side of the track at start finish- it adds about 15 feet additional.

I'm going through the caffeine withdrawl now to save money, $6/day on energy drinks adds up especially over a decent length of time like this.

Might want to specify which Alex- there are about 100 of us on here.

Talked with the Florida spec 250 guys today- scheduling conflict of the endurance race at JGP later that month might limit who I can get to go. I'm trying to recruit more little ninjas.

I should have room for a bike, rider & gear in my rig. So if you're along 75 south and the travel is the only thing stopping you, lemme know.

What would cause them to fail a chain during inspection? Mine has two noticeable tight spots that you can hear click while riding.

In my 3 day experience there, it's self tech. You will get a 5sec look before you go out on track...

Now, saying that. Have you read my rules? If something isn't right with your bike and you go out on track anyway and crash.... ya know....

Take the chain off, soak it overnight in gear oil + diesel fuel. If it still clicks, time for a new chain before hitting the track.
