That paint is flippin' awesome, especially keeping the tail black. Can't wait to see 4/4 of the bike!

They don't move around much, but they do rub right on the point of the rear fairing, it comes with some clear paint protection film though.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I'm going with the twisted throttle mount, or at least making one similar.

Hah, thanks! I wish I could get all OEM parts in the plain pearl white, I already have the headlight fairing and the fender in the white. Painting the tail black was actually an internal debate I had. I really wanted it white, but decided that I didn't want to deal with the dirt back there.

I think something is bent, pretty badly, I'm hoping it's just the front fairing mount, I had a hard time getting all of those parts to line up, then today, I was going to mount the left fairing, and there is just no way it will work. Won't bolt to the tank, won't bolt to the other side, and have to bend the other side to make it fit.

You can see here how the right side poked out, I though nothing of it. Until trying to put them together, and they are way off, bringing this one to the middle bends the part back by the rear most mounting bolt. Time for a new bracket!

Wow, that thing is a mile off and the bottom should tuck right behind the front tire.
Does the other side hit the engine and have a huge gap when trying to bolt it up?

Yeah, I was able to get a bolt in, but the right side was hitting exhaust. I'll be searching for parts, have to get one ASAP now, I can't have those nice freshly finished parts sitting around getting scratched!

Today, my new front fairing bracket showed up, thanks to @rc racer!

I wasted no time bolting it up and throwing on my fairings!

650R blinkers I think

I love orange

Since the decal was under the clear coat, i actually left them, and got an awesome ghost effect on it, too bad my tank bag screwed the paint up, I should have known!

More parts showed up today, finally!

My cockpit is a. Bit changed up now, from clipons

To stock style bars and risers with Oury road grips, I love how much they kill the vibes

And old broken turn signal

To custom LED blaster x integrated tail.

My geek buddies and I decided that this bike is/will be a clone trooper from the 212th dug to the white/orange theme.

Thanks! I need to get my power outlets wired up and installed in the inner fairing, and get a gps mount on there and I am pretty well set.

Maybe some buell lowered pegs, it's a bit tight for me still

Bike looks great. I was tempted to pull the slip on when you haggled me down but I am thrilled to see what you've done with the bike!!!

It looks awesome. All the parts you have invested in it- looks like it would be a really sweet ride at this point

hey @verboten1 I'm considering putting clip-on bars and rearset adjusters on my ninja 300 sometime in July, are you going to do anything with yours since you switched from clip-on bars to stock risers?

Since I'm posting, dude that looks sick. I like the white/black/orange you have going on there though I feel a bit more orange would make the look a bit better, maybe orange rim tape? I see some on the rear but not the front

I don't plan on using the clipons for anything. They are ok, just didn't work well for me

Thanks, I'm planning on more orange, a little on the fairings, and once I get a new front wheel, I'll install the stripes. I have some reflective orange striping I may use as well. My helmet is white/orange also.

Just messing with some vinyl...I would really want to keep the band a bit narrower and completely follow the curve and curve the bottom if I did it for real.

Those 650R front turn signals look really nice. I wonder if you could get the back ones from a 650R to fit as well. I like the angular look to them versus the rounder 250R turn signals.

The front signals you have look awesome! Great work on the restoration project.

I think the vinyl may be too much. Maybe you could do the mirrors orange, or do some integrated orange turn signals in your mirrors.

Or like you said, maybe just a slightly thinner piece of vinyl. Like maybe half as big as the one you did.

Thanks, I really wanted to use these, as I also liked that angularity and thought it fit the bike very well.

I believe these are off the back, IIRC the fronts are kind of integrated into the fairing shape.

Yeah, this is pretty big, I'm not sure what I want to do. I don't really want to put anything on the new paint, but I need to do something! This is just what I had, split it in half and laid it down.

Cool! I see what you are doing there - a Stormtrooper theme. How about the Imperial logo in white?

Clone trooper actually...but yeah, the wife kind of suggested it.

One of the last things I plan on doing is a front brake upgrade.

Added a new toy to the bike, SJCam SJ4000

I picked up a small LED light to supplement my lights for the late night twisty runs.

This is the pattern of only the LED

The front signals you have look awesome! Great work on the restoration project.
The 650 signals can be made to fit the front and back. you can take them apart and rewire them easily to fit other bikes.

They do look much nicer than stock and provide much better visibility than flush mounts

They look great on his clone trooper.
