15 tooth Front sprocket

If I go to a 15 tooth front sprokit would I have to get a new chain as well?
Can somebody point me to a place to get a better seat as well as the rear cowl?

- Nope, same chain will be fine
- A bunch of options, many people like www.corbin.com seats
- Official Kawi one is sold by most online parts places, aftermarket ones also available on ebay

You can keep the 45t OEM without any issues. Many riders here run 15/45 gearing on a stock length chain.

Enjoy!

One more question.

Anyone have a link to the sprocket for the 15t. Every where I go it says it will not fit my bike.

What color bike do you have? I have a metallic black seat cowl lying around that matches with the 2012 red SE.

My 250 is a multi color. Red and black. Don't think it's a SE. I will post a pic.

For seats... http://www.saddlemen.com/, cheaper than Corbin, also has an indention in the middle to release pressure on the perineum. They also do custom.

Sweet. I plan to get one soon for myself. Can't decide which one I want, Tech, Track CF, Chicane, or go custom.

How close are you to Hollister? If I had to only go mailorder, I might want to experiment a bit more. But if you're within riding distance to get a custom seat made right for your particular rear end, I'd recommend you give Corbin a shot. The Saddlemans approach $300, so it's not a small amount of money either, a custom Corbin starts at $330.

Yea, for 2012 the red is SE. I can pull the cowl out of storage and snap pics. It's in good condition; PM me if you're interested.

I'm about 2 hours away. Is Corbin better than Saddlemen, do you have any experience with both? I've been looking at all kinds of seats from Rick Mayer, Sargent, Saddlemen, Spencer, Corbin, etc. Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread.

No personal experience with Saddleman. Have had a bunch from Corbin and a bunch from Rick Mayer. What I've learned from both (and stock seats over the years) is that no seat is perfect, and customization is always a good thing. I was lazy on my most recent Corbin and didn't even make the 1 hr drive to get it custom fit, and will likely remedy that when I get a free Saturday.
