Well, depending on where you want to race. If you head up north, AFM has a superbike class that should allow that, but you couldn't race in their production class.

If you want to race all over, I THINK wera west has a class that formula 250s can run in, but once again, you couldn't run in their superstock class.

The new Willow series has still yet to release their rulebook or expected list of classes, so you may be able to race it there, too, if they also end up having a formula based 250 class.

But, you could not currently race a 250 without stock wheels at CVMA unless you want to race a bunch of 650s and a 250 2 stroke in Formula 2.

If you just want to do trackdays, have at it. But if you want to race it, it really wouldn't be a worthwhile investment

So you're parting out your 250, and want a wider rim for it? You're confusing!

On the other hand, don't get the rim. If you want to lean more GET YOUR BUTT OFF THE SEAT

I know EXACTLY how you feel brother. Check here.

Some great pics in there and some nuggets of great setup info. In the end, I just came to realize that without heavy modification, a 250 isn't gunna lean at speed like a 600 and feel as planted.

Add your pics in there while your there.

+1...when I rode Nemesis's "A" Race bike I really leaned it over and thought it was getting unstable...turns out I was scraping his Totsubo Exhaust!!!

Yes, but you will be limiting yourself with what classes you can race. IMO, stick with OEM wheel and just use a wider tire like a 140 or 150

You can accomplish the same thing with going with a wider tire. I think the widest you can go is 150. OEM is 130. Have you tried a 140 or 150 rear tire to see if that helps?

It's only illegal if you get caught. However if you're going to cheat you might want to do something that actually gives you an advantage.

What would a wider wheel do? The profile of a 140 tire is great on the stock rim.

Lot of local guys are running a 120 rear, how about a skinnier wheel
