2004 ex250 won't start

I just purchased a 2004 Ninja ex250 a couple of weeks ago. it ran fine until Friday. I had just pulled it into the garage after a ride and I believe I may have flooded it before shutting it off. I pulled the plugs and both plugs are good and the bike turns over but just doesn't want to fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Welcome Brandon! Lemme ask you some questions to narrow down the issue.

Let's get the silly questions done first. (just for fun )
You have gas in it right? lol
Is the petcock turned on?
Using the choke?

Gas + Air + Spark = Running. Ok, the serious questions
When you took the plugs out, were they wet from gas?
Can you tell if the plugs are sparking?
Air box and filter still in good shape?
Have you checked the fuel filter?
Are the carb bowls filling?

No way to do that unless you put the choke on full to kill it.

Check the things that csmith12 mentioned and report back.

Yes it has fuel and is getting spark. When I pulled the plugs they were a bit wet which I assume means its running a bit rich. I have done variations of full choke half choke and no choke. Filter and air box are fine as well as fuel filter.

How would I check to see if the carb bowls are filling?

Unscrew the drain bolt at each bowl. Have something like a margarine lid under the exit to catch any gas.

Have you checked your safety switches?

If you are getting spark the scenario sounds unlikely. Please describe your method to check for spark. Did your bike feel underpowered during the last ride?

Look for any water or debris in the fuel when you drain the bowls.

How old is the gas that's in it? Has the tank been sitting low for any amount of time?

If there's any question, I'd drain the tank and fill with new 87 octane (Ethanol-free if poss) before taking things apart.

Look at the inside of the tank for rust when you have the fuel out.

also it doesn't hurt to buy a couple sets of spark plugs and throw a new set in the bike to test with.... ive had instances in the past where a bad fouled plug would fire when grounded to case but fail as soon as in bike while under compression...

that way a 5 dollar set of plugs eliminates the spark question... and then onto the fuel side of things....
