Needed a Cape!!!!

Ok,

My ninja and I are chasing 600's again.... And I come up on this from the guys at the front of my group.

He was going around the downhill corner that was shaded by trees. Road was still wet from the shade and he lowsided. Slid down the road and FLEW air born off the embankment. It was about a 20-25ft drop to the bottom through the trees.

This looks terrible, After the crash checkout, he comes up from the crash site with only a scurf on the side of his knee. No rash, not even a hole in his leathers. Sooooo lucky. ATGATT FTW!!!!

What can you learn from this?

1. when riding solo, don't take chances, save some traction for when you need it. It would have sucked to lay there for hours before someone found you
2. before you ride, have plan b, to get you and your bike back home in case you can't ride it
3. tell someone your out, so if you don't come back on time, they can go look for you, tell them to be on the lookout for scrapes on the road, in case your over an embankment and can't be seen from the road
4. put contact info where it can be seen by someone who finds you, just in case you can't speak for yourself

Be safe out there.

Frame is straight, it runs and tires still had air in them. Everything else is gunna need checked out. Tail was ripped pretty bad and tank is trashed. Some cracks in the plastics, but they held up really well (another miracle). Mirrors, screen, leaking gas and other things you would expect.

He had on race sliders, we believe those saved the engine from any damage, even his can only had a few scratches. We are still in disbelief about most of the outcome.

Looks like he was down before the turn, front end tuck, straight line into the woods.
