You guys pick days. I have no idea about my summer yet, but once I know, I'll work your dates into my schedule.

we're looking at Monday, May 13 as the first, and prolly Saturday, June 8 (Twilight). The twilight event is an afternoon/evening thing and reserved for I/A riders. My son ran his 250 last year in one and it's not bad except for the back-straight where even 600s are blowing by him at 150+. He can manage 115 (it's slightly downhill and we regear for that track) and actually pulled off a few laps in the 53s so he was ok with it, but its a bit scary the first few laps when A riders go screaming by.

the only other Sat is June 22 (3:30 - 9 pm). would be cool to get a group of 250s together, so if this date works, we could commit to that.

So I propose this;

Friday, June 21 (3:30 - 9 pm)
Saturday, June 22 (3:30 - 9 pm)

Come for both days if you can but if you can only do one, then do the Sat. So most of us can be there the same day.

I will start building my shrine to those days so we get absolute perfect weather like choneofakind and I got last year.

A Fri/Sat afternoon combo in late June is perfect for me. I will be able to do both days and only miss one day of work. It also gives me enough time to start riding after school lets out so I'm not rusty. I don't start riding until the first week of May since the ninja isn't at school with me

If we can get perfect weather like last summer, I'll be stoked. I'll start my shrine as well.

Is the track going to be used that Saturday morning? It would be cool to hang out in the in-field day and watch people take different lines/apexes/turn in points and kinda assess them a bit.

Come on spring let's go!!!

EDIT: Also, @codestp202, are you still interested in going with us?? I might be able to transport your bike if needed. Just let me know once we get into June.

I would imagine cars will be on the track during the day until about 2:45-3. You free to watch the cars lines but I don't think it will help you much.

I have done these kind of days before. I doubt we will have access to the garages, so plan on being under the easy-ups away from the paddock area. I will blow the dust off my old generator and have 2 110 outlettes from the back of my Durango for phones, cams, laptops and other small items.

Let me know if there is anything else I could bring to make your day more enjoyable.

garage spots are first-come first-served, but since theres another event beforehand (no doubt) none may be available while the other group exits the paddocks. if they ARE, (and this may sound pretty gay) maybe we can all pitch in for a 'ninjette' garage. i think theyre somthing like 50 bucks. but it beats dealing with ezups and generators...

Jiggles... If you come, I will have you a bike to ride. Fly into Cincy the night before and I will pick you up and hook you up with a couch or hotel.

Rulez
It's BYOB
No crashing
Wearing deoderant is required
A $10 spot is appreciated for the breakfast, lunch and snack fund (Mid-O provides dinner)
Everyone must wear a Kawi green thong under their leathers while on the tarmac
What happens at Mid-O, stays at Mid-O

This might sound dumb, but is there a shower anywhere if we want to camp overnight? If not, that deoderant rule might be kinda pointless

I might not be able to race w/ you that night, but I might just come up and watch... might even bring a cheerleader skirt and pom poms :P

Seriously though, if you can't get on to track until 3:30pm, that leaves all day for some rides and Sunday. I'd go just for that, the races are a bonus

PS- Could I chill in the pits and help out in any way I can??

Yes of course! Come if you can, even if you can just hang out and chill in the pits and get a feel for how a track day works. More = merrier.

$185 before any discount. I am working a group discount and I already know we will get a forum discount of 10%. Not sure if they will stack. Plan on $175, so your safe.

Most likely right there...
I do recall them saying something earlier in thread about taking pics.. figured I probably do some of that too in different corners, and then be able to see some BP etc

PS - I'd take boredom in the pits over another night of 5 kids running around the house like it's romper room!

Idk if they will actually let you onto the track to take pics. Most likely you can only take them from the pits. Generally there's a professional photographer at the track that they let take pics from the corners and he wouldn't want you crampin his style

Find a way to bring your bike out, its way more fun, even if you're the slowest guy out there

and trust me I will learn a damn lot about BP and much more just watching
You will have access to nearly the entire track via 3 bridges and a tunnel. Fast laps for a track day are around 1:40 in the A group. So that means you will see who your looking for about once ever 2 minutes at best each 20 minute session. You can hop on my pit bike and run around watching the different corners.

But I will stand by what I have always said. Some of the best times at the track, are in the pits. Come and make new friends, see new things, share in the experience and in my pit, there will be many laughs.

I bet by the end of the day, you will be kickin' your own arse that you didn't ride.

That reminds me, I need to get a track map and plot out the photo areas.

And Jiggles is right. The track photographer is Kyle Hunter. He is a super cool guy and takes sick pictures. He is the only one allowed on the other side of the fence. Us non paid photo junkies have to take pics through the holes in the fence.

I know that's right... but it will motivate me to do the school and some track days myself...but most my 'spare' cash this year already gone to Total control classes (decided to redo lvl1 and then do lvl2 the following day).
I still might be able to do the track school this summer

As promised here is the picture map.

Light yellow areas are where I see most photo guys take photos. Most of the infield is accessible, if you wan to get closer to turns 10, 11 and 12. But the hilly terrain makes it harder.

Red dots are known good photo areas where you might see Kyle on the other side of the fence. The arrows show about where his camera points when he is stationed in those areas.

He will not care that you are back there taking pics. So click away and don't be shy to say hi.
