Hmmm, we have not been doing something right then. I have been to PitRace 3 times already with another one coming up September 13. Come hang out but riding is way better

Nah, I've been pretty busy this year and things are finally easing up a bit so I actually might be able to get out there as long as dates don't interfere with the few things we have lined up.

I still need to pick up some leather pants though, that or just get a used or cheap suit.

What date is your party again Chris?

Suits? I have 3 suits of different sizes. Maybe one will fit ya and you can use one, I have 42, 44 and 52. Between me and my friends, we can get just about any size needed.

The party: Sept. 26th, 27th, 28th.

The track is somewhat local to me. If I can fit it in the race schedule I should be able to make one of these dates. I race Beaver in Sept. 13/14. So the weekend is clear.

No, not a short track. It has 2 personalities, the first 7 turns are a pretty standard race track, the remainder of the turns are like a trip through the backwoods of TN/KY. Blind turns, wicked elevation change and kinda technical.

Just so you know, the back straight at mid-o is long enough to top out a 600, 165mph is a common speed. Sometimes faster in the I/A groups.

When in Aug. Are you running? I am thinking the 25th for my comeback.
Right away i was uncomfortable with me The control rider, he didn't seem like he wanted to ride novice. He left us twice and the rest of the day he kept leaving the group ( my hubby was also in the same group, he watched me go down). It was my 1st time on the track.

August 5 and 6. I'll be there. csmith12 will be there. Sirref is making his way the whole way out here. csmith12 usually brings a friend or two, hopefully Seti is there. I'm trying to convince my buddy to bring his Ducati Monster and ride novice.

I'm bringing my father along with me. Bonding time

Chris has a big tent, I have a baby tent. I'm bringing some brews, it'll be a good time. It's a 9:00-3:00 day, so we'll be able to chill in the infield and watch the afternoon/evening festivities before retiring to the tents for the night.

The more the merrier!!! Just come to hang out, even if you aren't ready to ride it just yet.

Skittles, was the cr. I still went to the class room time, he would show up the last few min and then take off. He didn't really talk to the group much. He did yell at my hubby for slowing down when I crashed ( understandable), he shouldn't of slowed but he was scared. We had 2 of our friends behind him that also slowed.
I doubt I will make it that early in August due to work and getting parts. I did order the vortex rear sets.

Couple of plastics are broke on the tail, I pulled it apart today. Parts on order including vortex rear sets.

I will be riding again very soon.

@csmith12 I did see some of the junkies, one of them did offer a peg but I did not see him until late in the day (last run). He was on a Yellow 250.

alright so my track day on the 27th is scrapped because I was just reminded that a good friend that I haven't seen in a while is holding his grad party/going away party (collegiate/job at google w/his older bro so now I know 2 google employees hahaha) on the 27th and not the 26th like I had thought.

Therefore I will most likely be up for both the 5th and 6th like originally planned and to hit up shenandoah again on aug. 31st

No garage needed. My pit setup is pretty good. I will be snagging my spots within the next day or so. You just have to tell me if you want the carpet or not.

unfortunately that is a financial stretch for me which is why I'm going on the 31st instead as a last hurrah for the summer on the last weekend before classes start

The biggest deal with the Mid-O garages is the temp difference. It's at least 10-15 degrees cooler in the garages vs out in the lot under a canopy. Asside of that, I have all the other comforts of the garage in the trailer; air, generator, bla, bla, bla.

Now, what we do have to figure out is sleeping arrangements. We will not be in the upper parking lot this time and that leaves the tent (it's freaking HUGE!) up passed the upper paddock to find dirt. My tent is over 100 square feet in size. I have 2 rooms available. You guys are welcome to the two extra rooms. Each room is large enough for a king sized air mattress and then some.

Imma try to get all set up Monday night just in case you want to show up early to ride the pit bike around.

I'm trying to imagine a tent with multiple rooms, and it just isn't working in my mind lol

I'll take you up on that offer for sure, my original plan was to sleep in my truck bed but that sounds much more comfortable
