Sounds like you guys had an awesome time. Hopefully you guys go back out later this summer, I know I can't race (no leather one piece or tack ready bike), but I'd love to be there to support and photograph you all.

Let's go man! I will be back out there maybe around Sept sometime. I can get you a suit and track prep your bike in the paddock area in about 30-40 mins. Think about it.

Otherwise, we would love to have you there doing whatever is fun for you. Everyone is more than helpful, friendly and there is plenty to see. Because of the infield access, there are plenty of good spots to watch/take pics around the track. And lunch is free!

How much does it cost? I've been to Mid-Ohio before for AMLS, so I know the good spots for shooting. If I had the $$ and maybe another bike I may join in. But I can't risk damaging my only mode of transport.

Ouch, that's a bit too high for me. I'm trying to save up as much as I can from my summer job. About the only big thing I might be able to budget is a gopro camera and/or/maybe a bigger bike.

So, I think I'll just be the official photographer, thanks for the offer though.

hmmmm September? That might line up with my fall break if i'm lucky... Lemme see how my work study job goes (aka, if i actually end up getting paid or not) and see about if I can go with you.

I might be able to swing a second track day in September. Possibly. It really depends on my finances and when i have a break at school and if i can take a day off from classes, etc. The garage might be good! Your poor tent didn't like us by the end of the afternoon.

NDspd if you can swing it, its completely worth it!! I learned so much and had a great time! Everyone there was helpful and was giving good advice because they all appreciate a new track rider, no matter what you ride. It's the same attitude of guys you meet when you go mountain biking. Everyone is there for the same reason, and they help each other out because everyone is there to learn and improve. You won't regret it. Go for the track day over the gopro. I was pissed that my camera broke two days before I went to mid o, but I still went anyway and the track day was a better buy than a new gopro (but that's on my Christmas list now

) also, the back section of mid o is really fast on a 250. I was wishing I could have passed those pesky 600's in the novice group with me.

If you wanna go again Chone (anyone else) and wanna start planning it. Sept. 1st and 2nd I will be at Putnam Park in Indiana (30 mins past Indianapolis). The track day on the 1st is 100% hosted by the assfaultjunkies and Imma going to check to see if I can be control riding in the novice group. If you want to go again this year and only have budget for one more, this is the one to go to. Putnam is a smaller track, less technical but lends itself to the 250 quite well against larger bikes. I like to ride my 250 here and there are normally a few others that ride 250's as well (some from this forum even). If you go on the 1st or 2nd these track days will be more laid back than the one at Mid-o. There will be no classroom time (instruction will be available to those that ask for it) and will be more like the last 2 sessions you had at Mid-o where the group was set free! I will check on the novice rules for passing for you while you decide.

Sept. 2nd is hosted by Louisville Sport Bike Riders here http://www.louisville-sportbikes.com/. I ride with them from time to time as well. In fact a couple of LSB guys were at Mid-O and I didn't even know it.

Stop being so tempting!!!! Ok, I'll let you know in August when i know more about how much books cost, etc. i'm officially in money saving mode now to save money for the track!!!

If i go it'll be on the 1st. That's going to be a ton of driving for me, especially considering that I'll have to take a day or two off classes to get home, get the bike prepped, get to Putnam, then back home to put the bike up for the winter, then back to school. Ughhhhhh I might have to work that last week before I head back to school in order to foot this one haha

Shoot, September is too far away for me. I start school the first week of Sept., August would work better for Mid-Ohio if you guys do that. Putnam isn't too far for me either, I go to Indy quite a bit.

From yesterday @choneofakind

101 degrees/81% humidity was to hot to go out and take photos in gear. So just some pit photos and fun after the food and liquor.

Yea, he passed out and was put under the stairs. I learned not to pass out with these guys. hahahahaha

After nearly highsiding in the last turn and slipping while braking for turn 7, I figured the q2's where done. Way to hot and greasy feeling. It felt like riding a dirt bike on the back side of the track.

Yay new tires! About .5 way through a session, they were fully scrubbed in an ready for a good pounding.

Saddly I didn't get another full hard session on the new tires, the heat took it's toll on everyone. Most of everyone missed at least one session and some missed 2. Headaches were common, the pain relievers where candy and you simply couldn't drink enough water. I didn't pee for 12 hours. It wasn't the most fun of track days in the paddock but the track time was awesome.

Look at you reppin' ninjette.org in that bottom pic! To be honest though, the pics don't give the true impression of your riding that day. You had much more lean angle in turns 8 and 9 but Kyle don't take as many pics of those corners as he moves around throughout the day. And the pics can't show how smooth you were nor that HUGE smile you had on your face! Especially those last 2 sessions.

When I made my way out to the infield to watch you on the back half of the track, I wish I would have gotten video of you even at least with my phone or something. There is always next time brah!

that was when I was relaxing a bit and having some fun with it (not to mention running up on that darn cbr in front of me. I only hot pitted once) Every time I nailed the keyhole, I was like WOOOOOOO! inside my helmet

Oh well, there's always next time! I'm already talking with my parents about going back

Sean, I'm 5' 10" and 135 dripping wet. I run and ride road bikes all the time. Looking big is not my thing

Adam, you're so coming with us next time!!!! We gotta get you over that tar-snake thing you have going.

PS Chris, What do you think about Watkins Glen?? My aunt has a lake house about 30 minutes from there and thinks riding the track sounds like fun. You thinking what I'm thinking? I'll talk to her about it once I know a little more about what my summer looks like. I cant wait to get back!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOTY 2015, MOTM - Nov '12, Nov '13	After nearly highsiding in the last turn and slipping while braking for turn 7, I figured the q2's where done. Way to hot and greasy feeling. It felt like riding a dirt bike on the back side of the track. Yay new tires! About .5 way through a session, they were fully scrubbed in an ready for a good pounding. Saddly I didn't get another full hard session on the new tires, the heat took it's toll on everyone. Most of everyone missed at least one session and some missed 2. Headaches were common, the pain relievers where candy and you simply couldn't drink enough water. I didn't pee for 12 hours. You had much more lean angle in turns 8 and 9 but Kyle don't take as many pics of those corners as he moves around throughout the day. And the pics can't show how smooth you were nor that HUGE smile you had on your face! Especially those last 2 sessions. When I made my way out to the infield to watch you on the back half of the track, I wish I would have gotten video of you even at least with my phone or something. MOTM - Feb '13, Feb '14	Yeah if he had been out the last two sessions of the day, he woulda gotten some good shots!! that was when I was relaxing a bit and having some fun with it (not to mention running up on that darn cbr in front of me. I only hot pitted once) Every time I nailed the keyhole, I was like WOOOOOOO! inside my helmet Oh well, there's always next time! I'm already talking with my parents about going back Sean, I'm 5' 10" and 135 dripping wet. I run and ride road bikes all the time. Looking big is not my thing Adam, you're so coming with us next time!!!! We gotta get you over that tar-snake thing you have going. PS Chris, What do you think about Watkins Glen?? My aunt has a lake house about 30 minutes from there and thinks riding the track sounds like fun. You thinking what I'm thinking? I'll talk to her about it once I know a little more about what my summer looks like. I cant wait to get back!!!!!!!!!!!!
