Hello from the DMV (dc,md,va)

Total noob, but looking to meet others who love their ninjas and love to ride. i don't know anyone else around the area, so have just been riding around our beltway and trying to get lost!

If you're from this area, drop me a note and let's ride!

Hi Anomolli! It's great to have you here with us. I'm a bit further south, but Sunny (BlueTyke) is up your way and an absolute blast to ride with!

HA! That's funny, I just got back from Arlington just riding around because I love riding on the gw parkway at night. Would you ride in the evenings? I'm thinking about going to "the spot" in Herdon on Thursday night just to see what it's all about. If anyone is definitely going, please let me know. It would be great to not be the lone stranger. I'm a programmer by day, so we're naturally shy in social gatherings. ;-)

Hi Anomolli!

I don't know if I am a blast but I am certainly amusing! Hehehe I'm up in the Baltimore area up north about 45 minutes away from Rockville I believe. Give or take... Freeway/highways around here are hard to judge with all the traffic.

I have a mon-friday job 8-5 kind of deal so I generally don't ride on the weekdays unless I'm sick (cough cough) but then again I don't really call out sick because when I come in the next day grinning my cover is blown. Hehe.

I am willing to ride just about anywhere. Let me know.

Sunny

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. It's been nice here and i've been reading a lot about bikes in general.

@bluetyke: awesome, i went to towson, so i'm fairly familiar with that area. perhaps if it doesn't get cold too quickly, we can plan a weekend ride out there. but i nearly froze to death today riding to work (wearing slacks is about as warm as nekked). so i'm in the market for some riding pants if i want to keep going this season.

Riding pants are a must! Well in my book. I ride in gear or I don't ride. There are a lot of women folks on this board and they can suggest various kinds. I currently have a leather set and a textile. I like the leathers better. Joe Rocket Trixie pants...
