That muffler bracket looks better than ever holding the bike together.
I may end up keeping the other set just so I can say it's 'one of a kind'.

Who says orange and red and purple don't work together? OK, I wouldn't want too much of it.

Those holes in the chain guard don't just remove weight, they show off that chain.

Just in case you didn't get a good enough look at that chain.

They make primer for plastic now. Makes for a very cool coolant reservoir.

I hadn't intended to go the K&N filter route for quite some time. That nasty airbox changed my mind. I wish that engineer worked for me. His grandchildren would feel the pain.

V-Star tail light for any Yamaha fans out there.

After de-tabbing the frame, I cut the bosses down on the seat to make it set right on the rails.

With the seat off, there's a built-in parts tray.

Trail Tech provides the speedo, tach, temp, clock etc. There's probably a chess game in there somewhere. It's a nice bit of tech.

Honda clone headlight for any Honda fans. It's by Emgo and it's well done, particularly for the price.

I was able to retain the original decal. I thought that was especially clever.

Another shot of the tank. It needs to be rubbed out. A future weekend project.

Six weeks to get that fender. I could have learned to do fiberglass quicker. But, I had no plan B and it does look nice.

Another shot of the fender. The paint on it flowed out perfectly. No need to rub it out.

And this is what I got when I bolted all them farkles together.

One more time.

And now that I've converted it into a standard motorcycle, I can use a $15.00 generic cover. Look at all the money I've saved.

That's it. Hope you enjoyed the show. Now it's happy hour.

Fabulous piece of work! Your bike and Chicago Bob's yellow one make me want to start stripping parts.

High praise indeed to be in the same sentence with him.

Actually, I had to Google it to figure out what you were talking about.
I absolutely love his bike.

I ran across his build a short time after I tore into mine. I promptly stole several of his ideas. Unfortunately, it made me abandon my plan to paint it yellow, that would have been too much. My Sportster is yellow and I have some paint left over from some work I did on that. I thought this would be the perfect time to use it up. And, then I'd have a 'big & little'.

I think it worked out. I like the blue.

Thanks to everyone that commented.
