Solo seat cowl installed and passenger seat modification.
Ok, i know. I'm a bit nuts.... Anyway, i had the idea to get the rear seat cowl so i can switch back and forth between it and my passenger seat that has my tail bag on it. Great idea!!
Well, i have the BEST boyfriend and he found a unused, hell it was unopened, OEM cowl THE NEXT DAY. Someone may already see the flaw in my plan... Anyway, the cowl came in yesterday. i jump on putting it together: For what the new cost of these is they could at least assemble the damn thing. Someone seems to be spying on me in this one... And there, to the left of the cowl is my problem.... The seat cowl bracket... S***! The bracket covers the two holes the seat slides into. So my first thought was to mod the bag to fit on the cowl without scratching the crap out of it, maybe like this but cut to fit: Not ideal. So my boyfriend busts out the hot knife! You can do the same with a dremel but the battery was dead. After cutting off the mounting tabs and a bit of the plastic from the bottom of the seat we made a place for the tab on the cowl bracket to hook on the seat. Not the prettiest but not like you'll see it. The with some bending and some "spacers" (garden hose washers ) we got the front to fit tight. You can barely see the tiny gap the seat has, with the bag on you done see it at all really. And the best part is the seat is still a functional seat. Not that i ride with a passenger often but having the option is nice. Very happy with the cowl! Looks so good!

Hey little red, if you do decide to sell your 300, I would be interested in your solo cowl
Also what seat is that? I need shorty levers, I also need some sliders and possibly a slip on Hell, if you do decide to sell your 300, I may buy all your aftermarkets. lol (I am not trying to encourage you to sell your 300, I think you should keep her as long as you can!)

Say you have roughly $1000 worth of after market parts new, and your bike stock is worth close to 3,500. You really think you'd get 4,500? Maybe, but a brand new one of these is only $5,000 so imo it's unlikely. Again though, I really don't think you should sell your bike Let us know either way, regardless if you sell it or not, you're not allowed to leave ninjette :P

It depends on the market where you are. Around here "shinnies" sell rather well. And i've already sold most of the take-offs. So i realy can't take much off the bike anyway. And, no. I have 0 plans on ever leaving ninjette. Its not like i would never get another 300 again. I realy don't want to sell her.. I just don't think i can afford to keep 2 bikes if i decide to get the Bolt. This is all still very much up in the air.

I got it from mod my 250 but the site is closed.
That guy on the "other" forum, space-whatever makes them to but i don't think they look as cool. You can get them made easy enough. Just get in touch with a vinyl decal place the does custom work. Probably find something on ebay...
