636 :)

GOT ONEEEEEEEEEEE.

Finally got me another bike... Picked up a 2005 ZX6R 636

37k on it. Pretty good shape. Pretty stoked on it. Its lowered and I think Im going to change that. Im also short so it feels nice but it puts me in a weird position with the rearsets on there. PICSSSSSSSSS

my wife is hotter than I.

37k. Wow. Do a thorough once-over with every part of that bike. You get any service receipts?

Should be okay at 37k as long as it wasn't TOTALLY neglected and thrashed. But the kind of person to treat a bike that bad probably wouldn't put 37k on it, who knows. Dang good looking bike though

Yeah its in good shape. Like all the signs of wear that show neglect are not there. So that made me more confident getting it.

I probably paid too much but it wasnt THAT bad... $3500 was my budget and I spent it... lol

I like that color a lot. I see what you mean about it being lowered. How tall are you? Are you able to flat foot it? I want a zx-6 quite a bit but I'm worried with being 6'4" I'll be uncomfortable

$3500 ain't bad.. here that will get you a late 90s gixxer thats been wheelied and crashed by someone who thinks they need to upgrade to a 1000. Or those super cool "custom" "streetfighters" that are worth like $1-2k more than a clean unmolested bike.

he wanted 4 but he found a truck he really wanted, and my friend, I guess the founder of the riding group was able to get him to 3500 for me.

I can't attest to the older 636, but I'm 6'3" on a 2013 636 and can report that sitting on it is as comfortable as it could be for a super sport. The seat is hard and feels really high compared to the 250 (mainly because of how much wider the seat/bike is). I can flat foot (duh), but even at 6'3" it's a tad difficult to move the bike around on foot.

If anything, being taller helps us on these bikes because we aren't FORCED into that super forward aggressive position. Since our arms are longer, we can sit up a bit more than most

I'd say as long as it's a well kept bike, that's a good price! Congrats and welcome to the 636 club (I just joined myself).

ha thanks everyone. and yeah lowered 2" it still feels about the same size as the ninjette... so its deff wider. I knew there was something different, but its been awhile since I had the 250.

Thank you, that's actually a relief to hear. I guess I should try and find one to sit on and test out too.

Don't we all feel the same :P

I personally feel I paid too much for my 250... I'd be stoked If I got a 600 class bike for 3.5 when I nearly paid twice that for a quarter liter.

Congrats on the bike!

And those tassels are awesome! Adds at least 5 or 6 HP... Needs a basket to finish off the look...
