Upcoming video game anticipation

Hey guys, I know there have to be a few of you who play video games. What are you looking forward to this year? I've got Marvel vs. Capcom 3 preordered and am pretty excited about that. I believe Crysis 2 and Gears of War 3 is releasing this year as well!

It's been a long time coming for Crysis 2. I'm not sure if I want to get it on PC or the 360 tho. 360 if it has a split screen co-op for sure since my little brother and I love doing those.

I haven't decided on what version I am getting either. Mostly likely PC, but maybe 360 or PS3. I will just have to read the reviews when it comes out. LOL

I'm looking forward to Gears of War 3 although the second one was a bit of a let down for me. The campaign was stellar, but I didn't like the online play for some reason. The online gameplay just felt a bit off to me. I really can't put my finger on what was different, but I just did not enjoy playing online like I did(and still do) the first one.

Been waiting for that game for over 10 years, hopefully its as fun as Duke Nukem 3d.

I just got dead space 2. I haven't had much time to play it but so far its way better than the first one. Winter season = game time and I haven't signed onto WoW for nearly a month. I'm not even sure why I'm still paying for it.

I also heard rumor that Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory are coming to PS3 and being released as a trilogy pack. They will support full HD too!

Hopefully it is the Xbox/PC port rather than the PS2 version, since the PS2 versions sucked. Have to wait til March to find out.

Same here, except I canceled my subscription a couple months ago and it's up in mid February. Haven't logged on in over a month and not missing it at all.

/invested in the nvidia 3d kit, and the few games that work well with it, make it well worth the money

infamous 1 was a good game so im curious about infamous 2 but i have to see more. I loved dead space 1 but waiting for dead space 2 to go down in price since id prob only play through it once. getting killzone this month

Uncharted 3 hopefully its at least as good as Uncharted 2 I loved that game. Curious how the movie will turn out with Mark Wahlberg though as long as its not like Max Payne.

Yea I ha played in all the betas. Right now I am on briarcliff in a guild called conviction. I will be on a pvp server for sure butthe guild has not decided on which one yet.

MVC3 is a let down to me. There's a complete loss of control. In mvc2, you had a light punch/ heavy punch and light kick/ heavy kick. Now's it's just low, medium, and heavy attack. Also, when switching characters, you have to hold down the partner button. Holding it down sometimes doesn't call them in. There doesn't seem to be many unlockable characters. I played through the game 3 times I think and got them all unlocked except for the 2 that you have to download.

Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine are the dc's and I don't plan on getting them. I never played them in 2 and doubt I'd bother in this one. Many of the characters they kept or put in are crap. They took out a few favorites like Captain Commando and left in stupid ones like Tron. Thor doesn't throw his hammer as far as I can tell, altho I haven't done all his moves.

The end fight with galactus isn't easy. What really sucks is that he does a move that takes off 1/2 your life and you can't block it. He also does some eye beams which you also can't block.

The biggest let down are the endings, or lack thereof. Each ending is a comic style ending with text bubbles and they're about 20 seconds long. In this day and age of games that have the capability to drive graphics like Gears of War, Crysis, ETC, they give us endings that you would find from the 80's.

I don't know what's up with capcom, but I'm not a fan anymore. Their games have gotten a lot worse.

battlefield 3 is looking great so far. looks like battlefield awesomeness but with call of duty speed. bad company 2 was awesome but had to me had laggish controls
