It's a sad day!

Marvin was in the truck today, delivered to its new owner. Stays in the Navy family, that's a pretty cool thing

So this is your wife's bike? Then are you the owner of the account or is she? I'm somewhat confused, :?

I like your trailering setup, is the wheel chock removable? and what kind of straps are those? a more efficient setup like this would free up a good amount of space for me to use tie downs on my cooler/gas can/ramp while headed to track days.

Those straps are nice. I have the same set I bought for my gfs Ninjette
Comes with two ranchet straps and two handle bar loop strand to cinche tight on the grips and then ratchet to the bed corners

Nice silverado! I can fit both the bikes in my bed with my toolbox and tail gate up! Gotta love a silverado w an 8' bed

I usually ratchet the back down a bit too so it doesn't bounce
But I don't have a front wheel chock

---- you sold your bike - so what will you ride now?

Are you going to ride your wife's bike or was this your wife's bike and you kept yours?

So confusing

@sierref - how do you strap them? This is basically the only way I know how

@Klondike1020 I just use 4 ratchet strap points, one at each corner of the bed. I strap it in pretty tight on the front, compressing the front forks so it won't move around but not too tight to cause damage and the rear I use one to compress the rear suspension to the truck bed with the other going through the rear tire securing the remaining payload (gas can/ramp) cooler goes inside the cab for now but I'd prefer to put that in the bed as well if I can, this setup would allow for that.

the only real difference is the wheel chock and the front ratchets going to the bars instead of directly to the forks

Yeah, wifes bike! Guess I was the last to be riding it. Yes Dodge truck

We just bolt down the Baxley Chock, use Rite Ties & Canyon Dancer. Chock works great.. Holds the bike so you can tie it down.. And don't have to tie it down so tight either. It's our track day stuff..

Still have the other 2 bikes....

How many feet is the bed of the pickup? Looks like a long bed -- i've got a ford f350 and have been thinking of putting my bike in the back but I've never seen it done before and didn't know it was possible.

Ours is short bed, so you cant lift the tail gate with the bike in the back.. Ready Ramp doubles as bed extender.

Pretty nice setup, hopefully the new owner will love it and put some miles on it.
