Thunderhill with Feellikeapro and Superbike-coach

...or "we got married and went zooming around". My fiancee and I finally tied the knot after 8 years and since we only have a short off-period before having to get back to work we decided to take a drive to Northern Cal and use Dave's services with FLAP especially since instructions from Can Akkaya (superbike-coach.com) is also included.

Everything went smoothly, Dave took good care of the bikes, and Can is friggin amazing. By the end of the day I was chasing down 600's and 1000's during turns 3, 9, 11, and 14. Of course there are times where I was muttering to myself about more speed while I was bouncing off of the limiter heading into turn 10 and coming out of 15 but had a blast nevertheless. Might end up picking up another 250 just for track later on.

Warming up in the morning, my wife in the center front and me dinking around slightly behind her:

Another pic with me dinking around in the back before making a pass:

She got hit in the second morning session by some tards that didn't understand what 6-foot passing distance means but stayed on the bike. The guy that did the hit wiped out, his buddy who also didn't understand that rule grabbed a fist full of brakes and went down right in front of me too. I rode around, pulled over to the side to avoid getting hit by the rest of them that all clustered up, then went on my way after the control riders gave me the go ahead.

By the first afternoon session she loosened up:

I got spoiled riding my rsv4; next time I get on the 250 I'm gonna have to remember to push my chest farther away from the bike and hang off more. Here's Can looking bored behind me, Mr. "hah I can pass you while doing a crooked wheelie because I'm awesome":

Gonna go chill in the FLAP tent when Dave comes down for the wera weekend in Fontana on the 26th. Good times.

My experience with Can has been pretty horrible. Although it has nothing to do with his coaching as we never made it to the track day... (he told me he forgot the date)

But glad you had a blast and improved.

Haha sure. Careful though he might still be a bit hurt
I'll refrain from saying anything else in public.
