Extra hose? (Reconnecting the gas tank)

This was my very first attempt at something mechanical and I'm already lost. I used KKim's DIY- How to Remove the Gas Tank but while putting the tank back on I seem to have discovered a new hose and I don't know what it connects to.

The other end is connected to a spot between the carburetors (where my finger is)

I know I connected the other three hoses correctly, but don't even remember this problematic one.

The only feasible place would be to the fuel sender connector, but that wasn't in the DIY, I don't remember pulling it, and my bike sputters out when I tried connecting it there.

The bike sounds fine when I leave it unconnected, but surely that's not correct?

Looks to be the overflow/drain. Route the hose down behind the engine so it drains on the ground.
