Talking From Michigan - 1998 Ninja 250

Hello everyone. I am a personal trainer from michigan. I just purchased a 1998 ninja 250 with 3,000 miles on it this weekend for $200...long story short, the previous owner is a friend of mine and the bike ran OK before it sat for about a year. he brought it out of storage and it didnt start so he asked if i wanted to buy it,, $200 is cheap and i bought it.
<br>
first thing i did was charge the battery (need to replace)
<br>
drained all the old gas and replace with new gas.
<br>
starts with full choke
<br>
runs on 1 cyclinder only.
<br>
removed gas tank and check wires.
<br>
ignition coil on the left side of bike needs to be replaced.
<br>
stagnant until part arrives, just saying hello lol

thanks very much, i wouldve replied sooner but i was trying to put the windscreen back in and its stumping me because i cant figure out how to access the back of the hole to insert the threaded hole thing the screw screws into from the front. i got the top two in but not the lowers (this bike pretty much came in a box and said assembly required, ages 8+)

thanks after workout today my father and I are going to try to get the other cyclinder firing. before we replace the ignition coil (because I cant seem to find a place that sells the cable seperately) we're going to try stripping it back enough so the cable is more clean appearence and better connection and see it that helps it. if not,, i already know i might have to replace the ignition coil.

seat needs to be recovered,, saw this from your site sponsor, thought it looked great and gives me a rear area to color match to the bike whatever color i choose.
