well, I know new enough has the sport demons, but not at the best price I've seen. As far as the dunlops, the gt501s for the new gens aren't imported into this country, I believe.
Another tire to consider is the BS bt45s that came stock on the 08 bikes. I had those on my bike when I bought it and was quite pleased with them for street/canyon use. What type of riding do you do? |

technically, the 120 is too wide for the rim that is supplied on our bikes, but I know people have used a 120 up front w/o problems. My doubt is if a 70 series profile tire is too tall or not. I think the 120's others are using are 60 series tires with a lower profile. I may be wrong... try searching and see what others have used. If they have used a 70 series tire, then I stand corrected.

That combination should work without any problems. What tires do you have on your bike now?
I think you will like the bt45s. Please let us know your impressions once you get them on your bike. |

For me lower price (never changes), selection, free shipping and 3 day delivery is always www.motorcyclesuperstore.com They always seem to have them in stock when others say backordered. I rely on them completely for no hassle service for my Pirelli's.

I've had good luck with www.swmototires.com. Decent pricing, quick shipping, free shipping if you order two or more tires.

Could they have been take offs being sold as new? I haven't found one major online outlet that sells those tires in the new gen sizes.

One of the things that made me choose them is their shipping prices. It seems that most online places will give you great prices on the tires and then sock it to you on the shipping. Well, this place has very reasonable shipping prices. And, since they're in Arizona, I don't have to pay sales tax on the deal.

Have you tried Santa Clara Cycle Accesories on El Camino Real between Wolfe Road and Lawrence Expressway? Their tires prices are very competitive and they offer free mount and balance with purchase, wheels off bike. They also mount and balance tires purchased elsewhere for $20/tire, wheel off bike. Doug and Greg are upstanding guys.
You can also try Cycle Gear on Parkmoor Avenue and Meridian Avenue in San Jose. They have a decent selection of tires available. In either case, tell them "Al from Spartan Riders" sent you.

The must've ordered them from Kawi when they were still the OEM tires... which is weird because even my '08 manual with an '08 bike that came with GT501s has references to the IRC tires (as well as Brodgestone/Dunlop), so they had to be in use somewhere already.
