Question How long have you had your ninjette?

Round down to the nearest year, so: if you've had your bike for 1 year and 3 months then answer "1 year". If you've had it for 3 years and 11 months then answer "3 years". Get the idea?

Only give an answer based on your current ninjette. Not interested in ninjettes you've previously owned.

If you have more than 1 ninjette then answer for the one you've had the longest (no combining time lengths allowed: you filthy cheat!!).

Sitting at nearly 7 months and over 3k miles.

Assuming this site is around long enough (and I'm still an active member of it), I'll be one of the 10+ years guys. I love this bike and even when I'm ready to "move up," I'll keep my 250R for the hell of it.

3 years (riding season) and 13,000km. Even when I get a new bike (hello Ninja 650 now that they got rid of the bananna seat), I still want to keep my ninjette.

Agreed. The new 650R looks too good to pass up.

I most likely won't be looking into getting another bike for a good few years, but the 650R is definitely a viable candidate.

Less than a year. About 4-5 months and it's been nothing less of an amazing experience so far. Don't know why I didn't pick up riding some years back.

Oh. I didn't realise you were interested in getting a Ninjette. I thought you were happy with your Kawi500.

Oh I'm very happy with my 500 but I aspire to own a ninjette as well since I had my heart set on one for my first bike, and they just sound like wicked fun to ride, you know WOT around town without breaking the speed limit and an engine that actually likes to be revved. The Ninja 250 is downright sexy as well, she got the good genes xD

By the results of the poll, most 250 riders get a new bike within 5 years of buying their ninjette or they just quit hanging out on this forum. They probably just get a new bike. I hope I don't get tired of my 250 that quick.

It's possible. It's also possible that lots of pre-2008 Ninjette owners have upgraded to the 2008+ bike, thus resetting their year-counter. There could also have been a surge of new people joining Ninjette.org. I'm a noobie here! (ignore my post count - I just talk a lot )

There are some related polls/threads that may provide more context:

how old are you and how much experience do you have?

How long do you plan on keeping your 250?

How many miles before you upgraded?

How many miles have you logged?

How long have you had your bike?

About two months now and put almost 3,000 miles on it. I didn't ride for two weeks of it because of the crash.

If I didn't basically live with my GF, I would ride 50 miles a day to and from school, but I could walk to school now, although I just take the motorcycle 0.5 miles to park it .

I chose it, because a full year feels like a significant milestone: if you haven't quite made the full 12 months then you haven't reached the milestone... kinda like birthdays: people don't say "it's not fair, why can't I be 12 today! My birthday is only a month away!". See my logic?
