I think it's been more than 24 hours and no reply. I'm thinking it must take longer.

He wasn't going to Pismo Beach, it was Miami beach.

Ya know, when I was a kid, your ass had to be home when the street lights came on. Anyone guess what happens when you don't check in when you say youre gonna?

I'm going to venture a guess that your childhood friend who had a problem with rules and authority who didn't turn up by nightfall probably joined a gang, learned management skills, then got an entry level job at a local fast food joint after his parents kicked him out, climbed the corporate ladder, became a CEO, bought the business, sold it, re-invested his profits, and after several failed business startups -- he struck gold and went on to become one of the richest men in the world.

Sadly that is not the typical american success story, nor has a biker who posted on the internet saying that he was going for a ride and never returned afterward to say "it was a good ride" became a media sensation after a long and costly investigation as to whether he enjoyed the ride or not.

The dude is fine. Given the time zone differences, he's probably sleeping right now. If anyone wants to go above and beyond actually get off their ass and investigate, I'll bet his OP has a logged IP address and some work could turn up the vin number of his bike and where it is currently parked.

At the very least, see if the vin was picked up by any tow-trucks etc.

Can we lay this thread to rest now? There's nothing fashionable about bumping old posts.

Lmao, you're all funny, I'll give you that, I will also explain what happened, nothing to do with a mexican boy I can tell you that, I dont remember how much I spent in tolls, but I got a lot of motorcycle discounts at thw tolls, so that helped a lot, in gas I only spent 65$ going to florida, in north carolina my legs were killing me, and my back kind of hurt, my bags were strapped to the back seat so I could tuck in or else the bags started to shake and then the bike started to wobble, so I sat in a really annoying position, eventually I got to Georgia and the trip was takibg long, I didnt realize how foggy the south getsx I literally couldnt see, visor up and everything, I had to follpw a car bumper to bumper to get thru to the next exit safely, then I realized Ill stay at a motel till morning, I asked for a room on tje first floor, I rode my bike inside my room because I didnt trust anyone, in the morning I left, got to Florida, and I never checked back in because I got so caught up in working, I now live in florida lol so I dont plan on riding back to new York, I also took an accident a couple weeks ago on some back roads, hit a pile of sand in the middle of the turn, some kind folks helped me get my bike out the ditch it fell in, stayed in bed for a couple days, now im just trying to repair my bikes cosmetics so I can sell it and get a zx6r because a local dealer has some slammin deals, although you guys made some cool legends for me, this is what really happened lol

No!
When you crash you do not replace it with a zx6r, it is mandatory to get an r6.

Thanks for the update

Yay he lives!

Sucks about the accident though. But glad you made it and lived to tell the tale. Good call for staying overnight vs continuing on when you couldn't see (or more importantly when others couldn't see you).

Get that bike fixed up and enjoy living down south. Just expect some hate from the north when winter settles in and you're still soaking up the sun.

I like the zx6r because I can get both my feet down lol, on the r6 I can only get 1 foot, which doesnt make me feel comfortable, and at the end of the day im gonna get what makes me feel comfortable lol even if the r6 looks better lol.
And riding in the south sucks, constantly having someone almost hitting me out my lane ny accident, nobody pays attention here, I miss riding in new york, and its so hot hear it makes me not wanna wear gear ( but I still do )
On that note, if anyone has any stock mirrors for sale, let me know lol

Woo-hoo! Glad to hear that you're safe and sound (aside for the crash).

Good luck with the zx6r!
