Newer supersports

Hey guys I just wanted to ask if people have the same opinion as me about newer 600 cc bikes. I still have a broken shoulder as some of y'all may know but I did get the opurtunity to ride on my friends brothers' 08 GSXR 600 and by god it was the weirdest bike I've ever felt. the turning felt like if you even tapped the handlebars the whole bike would go on its side, like just jolts downwards unlike the ninjes smooth controllable lean. Just everything about it was so much different then previous 600s I've ridden(91-03). This was the first GSXR I've ridden though, I liked it so much I decided to buy it but I still have to wait for the insurance money from my destroyed little ninje Might just have felt so interesting cause if was a GSXR, how do newer cbr's and r6s feel?

Tire condition? Or maybe some aggressive profile?

I thought the gixxers were reasonably sedate as supersports go, takes a little more to push it over than the ninja, but feels stable enough in a lean.

What were the tyre pressures like? If they're rock hard it'll be more unstable.

I'm another member of the ****ed up shoulder club, how's the strength, control & range of motion? If that's uneven you may just be botching the controls rather than there being a problem with the bike

I think it has to do with the rake, my ninja 1000 is very easy to initiate a turn with even with the larger tires and extra 125lbs. It has a steeper rake than the 250 and 600s are even steeper than my n1k.

Bike weight, geometry, seating position, clipon and rearset position, tire profile, air pressure and other factors effect the turning characteristics of a bike.

I would say most likely you felt the difference in tire profile. For example; a R6 with a set of q2's feels like it turns slower than a R6 with michelin tires with a V front profile. It's very aggressive. Same deal with a 250 with the stock IRC when compared to BT003's. The bike turns much easier.

With similar setups, the turn in can be made to feel very similar. However after the turn in, each of the major supersports have different corner characteristics.

The tires were really rock hard and new. Ahhh another member of the ****ed up shoulder club. It's feeling much better minus strength, I can finally sleep through the night without waking up. Appreciate the concern brother, merry Christmas.
