Question Taking the gf to the track...

Terrible idea? I'm going to sonoma on march 30/31 and my gf wants to go with me. She won't be able to come until later in the day on the 30th due to some moto classes that day. She wants to go because she thinks it will be fun to watch. I think she will likely get bored and I let her know this so she said she'd work on grad school apps if it is boring.

So, good idea or bad idea?

If she had leathers I'd have her go 2up with someone.

Some chicks roll with it, others not so much. Hand her a camera, it helps a bit with boredom.

Bedroom activities aside, what about when they get to the track?

Hey, if she says she wants to and she hates it she only has herself to blame.

But we all know women don't work like that, so make sure you buy her something for afterwards, they respond well to trinkets and doodads.

Depends on her Sean. If she wants to go, let her go and watch you do what you enjoy doing. Maybe she'll get the urge to get out there with you, or at least get out on the bike more

If she wants to go. Let her go. She'll learn real fast if it's for her or not. My girl loves coming to the track with me.

Take a mountain bike or something so she can easily get around the paddock. This will help her be more social and get to different viewing areas.

If she REALLLLLLY wants to go and you're only there for one day then take her. Seriously, there's nothing for them to do out there besides sit and watch you ride in circles, and she can barely see that. Do NOT take a girlfriend unless she is really interested and in to it and wont be there for long.

I dunno, depends on her. Also, how you interact with people around her versus around your track buddies.

This is most fair statement. But I think the most important thing is that she needs to realize when she gets there is that today isn't "hers"... it's "yours"...

Yes, that's part of what I was getting at. Also, a lot of people act differently around their significant others than they do around the friends that they can bs with and all.

Don't have any track buddies up here but I'm sure my cooler full of beer will take care of that once I get there.

She will be there with me for one night and one day, so the first night and day will be by myself

There's lots of other guys there to talk with if she gets bored. jk

I would always take my bf, I'm the same around him as I am around my buddies. When he sees me happy, he understands better why I ride. I return the favour by watching Duck Dynasty with him..

Take her and tell her that you want her to share something you love and warn her about being bored, bike to get around is a good idea.

My wife has been to the track with me to watch, take pictures, and even spent 2 nights in a tent and completed a 2 day track school with the ZX-6R.

I took all my girlfriends to the track ( not all at the same time). They all enjoyed it and had things they were responsible for. Besides camera work, which most sucked at, they can help organize, keep time sheets, keep race schedules, help clean up, get drinks and food, and most of all, hang out with the other girlfriends.

She's oddly shaped though. Like a 5'10 8yr old. She'd probably need a custom set or borrow a custom set from someone as skinny as she is. Everything else will be too loose

i guess the best thing to do is get some measurements, and call around..
getting custom leathers wouldn't work out, due to time frame.

wouldn't be perfect but would be good enough.

See if she fits in S or XS men's leathers. Also...

Unless your girl will be riding the track too it's a big mistake. Even if she's cool with it you will feel the need to give your undivided attention to her.

Ma girl asked if she can come and I said, "No offense babe but hell no!" LOL! I've brought my girlfriends in the past and it sucked! Never again.

I want to get her to the track eventually. I just bought her a nice icon jacket from SBTG (they recommended a medium for her) and I'll probably start looking for some pants as well and get a zipper tailored on. It's probably the best way about getting her a suit
