Just picked up a Shoei RF1100. It's a little snug around my chubby cheeks for now

I just got my own RF-1100. Opted for the merciless graphic. Cost more but looks sick. Here is a link to mine, have to save on attachment space.

Haha, how many of us picked up a Shoei RF1100 this week? I just got mine as well on closeout price. Chroma TC-2 with dark smoke shield.

My other bucket for the past couple of seasons; Shark RSI D-Tone Hologram with light iridium shield.

I wanted a sporty full-face to replace my Nolan Modular... ended up with a good deal on this Schuberth SR-1!

Fantastic fit, the Helmet sits bombproof and doesn't move an inch. It's so lightweight compared to the Nolan that it kind of feels strange for now.

This is a race helmet so no sun visor (didn't use it anyways on the N90) and no comm system (I do want to listen to GPS/Music, I'll just get a low-pro earbud).

Giggity! Just unboxed it!

Marquez Black Ant graphic RF-1200.

Wasn't even looking for a new helmet, had my mind set on ordering a GoPro 3+ Black Ed. but saw this and it just did something for me. I never really ever thought I'd be the kinda person who would have multiple "primary" helmets either. I've still got my Bell Vortex in case I wrecked in my Arai but never wore it once I picked up the Arai.

Here's a couple next to my current lid - Arai Vector 2 - with which the RF-1200 will be sharing duties...

Now with 100% more gold face shield....

Last futzed with by reaubideux; April 21st, 2014 at 05:16 PM. Reason: Added pics with gold face shield

I love that helmet!!! I was soo hoping they would have released a white one identical to the helmet he used at Motegi. The X12 colors, although similar, didn't do it for me.
I picked up a RF1100 on sale but totally would have bought this helmet if I had known it was coming out back then...

Sweet looking helmet, it looks good with the gold shield too. This is coming from someone who does not like the majority of Shoei's graphics.

Thanks.

I wasn't sure how the gold would look but I liked it. Had my first ride with the helmet today on my commute to work and could definitely tell I wasn't wearing my Arai, about the same in terms of aerodynamics but the shell shape/size is different (obviously) so could feel how the wind was whipping against my neck in different places. Airflow is about the same as the Arai which is to say it's adequate. Not too loud either but I'm always wearing earplugs so take it with a grain of salt.

I dont understand, they did release the Motegi helmet.

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/s...-motegi-helmet

The only difference is that it doesnt have him doing asian face on the back of the helmet.

I don't think we will ever see a mass produced Red Bull helmet. I keep waiting for a Bradl replica but it ain't coming. Anything Red Bull is custom painted or decal.

Agreed! Unless of course you are buying one from outside the US. I've seen some amazing looking Rossi knock-offs but would be weary of the safety rating on those helmets.

And this is why you should always wear a helmet... Even with this thing on I received a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). @Trailerboy531 took this and I dont remember seeing this picture before... I think thats blood?

that pic just confirmed something I already knew, that that was one hell of a hardcore crash

are you keeping the helmet as a trophy of sorts?
