@alex.s: I'm no expert, but from my perspective, your mullholand riding didn't stand out as dangerous or scary to me. You're going faster than I would, but that's only because you're clearly a more skilled/experienced rider. Unlike the video I posted, your video consists entirely of road where you have an entire lane to yourself, the road is seemingly clear of debri and in good condition and there are no driveways or turnoffs at all (let alone on blind corners). The video I posted looked a bit sketchy to me, your video just looks awesome!

LOL: at your flappy wing-mirrors. Ninjette mirrors always look like ears to me and on your bike they look even more ear like

Also: By no means am I complaining about the video I posted. I'm in the 'live and let live' and 'your an adult: do as you please' camps, so I'm not going to get upset even if I think someone is riding like a fool. If they're putting other people in danger then that's more likely to annoy me. I can see in your video that you're very considerate of other people: you slowed right down for those cyclists: more so than many other mullholand riders I've seen.

Need to get my chickens in a row this summer then with my job situation before I look into track days though. Thanks for the offer! I'll keep ya in mind

Not a problem at all sir! In fact, I will ride my 250 a session or two with you. I am very good friends with the coaches at mid-o and put in a good word for you.

But the shifting was good I noticed it the one time that you turned around and didn't even have your left hand on the bars, and a few really quick shifts went by. Props for a good demonstration

yeah we'll start a thread when we get closer to figure out what works best for who. I was thinking mid June or July sometime; that would be our best bet for good weather. Standard 1 day is $195, and standard 2 day is $365, so I'm only going to be in if I can get a second job this summer like I had last summer.

Dang engineering textbooks don't get any cheaper, and unlike buying fun parts for Mik, I don't get anything from a $200 textbook that I couldn't have gotten from borrowing a friends' book...

is the wind protection good from the tank? I want to mount my camera on my tank so it's behind the windscreen, but I'm worried that it's too far back and will get lots of wind noise

I'll have my 250 in Dayton, Ohio for the whole summer. I wish I could afford the full leathers and the trackday fee though. I'd be happy to come over and watch ya guys and hang out. Plus, I have all of my camera equipment, aka better views for you to watch your form.

Yeah time will tell if spending the $$ will bite me in the butt next year when it comes time to buy books, but I want to do that track day so badly So if I can borrow leathers from Chris that would be perfect.

But yeah come spend the day with us!!! I've been there once for the ticket to ride thing last summer. It was awesome! I'll never say no to pictures of my on my bike

I'm with alex on this one. I could barely concentrate on the video itself because of this guy's massive amount of clutch slippage.

some guys 250 ride vid from Indiana (anyone here?)

Just a 250 riders vid, figured i would post, i like to see what some critics have to say about things. I think one can learn by seeing what others point out in another's riding.

I always do a search before i post a vid, but peoples habits of posting vids and not using anything descriptive what so ever from the vid title and or just posting vids in a some what related thread makes it hard to find them sometime. I try... i really do.

Thanks for cleaning up my mess again

The way I find them is just by the video ID. Those few characters in a row are unique enough that it always pulls up any other thread with that same video in it.

I keep wanting to re-make this vid considering how different my bike and riding system is now. Hell, adjusting the carbs alone was worth re-doing the vid!

What are your opinions on the vid?

I honestly think the carb mixture was somewhat to blame here. Someone PM'ed me on youtube and suggested I check it out that day. The following weekend I was able to get dyno time to adjust it and MAN was it way off. After properly adjusting the needle and jets (as well as doing a airbox delete.. had the dyno anyways, why not), it felt completely different. There might have been some user error within my shifting, but it was resolved after the rejet. A little while later after that, I upgraded the clutch springs to something a bit more firm and replaced the clutch plates (they didn't look as if they needed it, but I was coming up on my 7.5k maint)
