Christmas morning ride

Christmas morning in the east bay? Any local people want to go out for a quick something something early in the day? Bring a Santa hat or wear some antlers and have some fun.

Pm me or post on this thread if there is any interest. Casual pace, I can change the route, long short whatever.

Lets ride yo!

'twas the night before the night before Christmas, and all through my head I'm off for a ride I just now said...

Wish I was on the left coast

Dude I'm hooked on the mtb coolaid and just can't seem to break free. I'll think about it so keep me in the loop. What time? because it's going to be getting a bit colder these next couple days so I'd say you'd have better luck getting people out after they take care of family stuff.

Wait shouldn't you be taking your dad out riding on his new 29er?

The family wants to meet at 2 on Christmas. So like I said if I can be back in Oakley/Brentwood right before then I'm good. Plus it would be good to remind myself I ride motorcycles again. I hope the 250 starts. Neal really has me wanting to buy a miata.

I would love to, but for some reason I volunteered to help prepare food for our 36 (or so) person party. I blame the alcohol

Tell me about it. I've been dying of it since last week. I have the cold and I was rocking the flu over the weekend.

No worries everyone. This year I'm just showing up to the get together so I can kill some time. So tfkrocks and maybe rojo. I'll be out tomorrow regardless and I'll check this before I go to bed.

8:45am tomorrow at the pleasant hill nations and Starbucks off of contra costa boulevard. Route will be grizzly peak, redwood... Maybe Palomares and calaveras depending on time. Pace will be moderate (my moderate pace) and adjusted accordingly to other riders needs. Hope some others can join and to the rest of you merry Christmas.

A ride to the port-a-jon on Christmas. Sounds like a fun ride. Why do they have to fence them in. Must be some crazy shite.

Also, @tfkrocks got here 300 back. Awesome!

Edit: I kinda sold my 300...

Well it was never gone, just unrideable for a long while haha.

Did you replace it with something else...?

Not yet still searching for its replacement. I'm deciding between a fun bike and a practical bike. I'll be making trips to SoCal so, yeah, fun decisions.

Although, I'm really tempted to do the trip on a supersport just to see if I survive the torture

Well I hope you need a replacement. Because while you were gone I learned that triples are the best motors ever and a 675 daytona is going to be my next bike period.

Adi read my latest thread. Seriously. The yamaha fz09 is retarded amounts of fun and badassness. That thing could destroy sportbikes on the local twisties. And it'll straight walk away from a 600. It gets over 100 pretty damn quick.

Another advantage is that the fz-09 is fairly light, it's only 29lbs heavier than the ninja 300. Something that is quite a feat when you consider that the engine is almost 3x the size. To be fair though the triumph street triple is 10lbs lighter than the fz-09 but that's to be expected with the engine displacement difference.
