hmmmm! Sexy!
I wonder, is it full system or mid-pipe back? need plate holder, LED plate bolts, and for the bottom 2 bolt holes, throw some reflector screws on there |

Alright, that makes sense. Sorry if the news is old hat but I saw for the first time five minutes ago Got kinda excited and did a search with no results. But count me as first in line when they come out. (Though I might want to shorten those cans just a lil bit)

The twin exhaust is a bit pointless IMO, even on big bikes.
On a car it's rice. No performance gains, just more weight

I agree, and this is the way I would do it if they release it without and plate relocation hardware. That said, for a fantastic product contributing up to a stellar reputation (Think Sidi, A*, etc) this would go a ways in building that relationship with their customer base.

I think it looks great. No side jutting exhaust to disrupt the body lines and curves of the bike.
I'm a sucker for undertail systems. |

I only like the under-tail ones exhausts if they look part of the bodywork (not a separate tube). I prefer the under-bike exhausts really: nice and discrete!

The actual increase in bike sexiness that you experience with a new undertail exhaust may vary...

And all of these http://acidcow.com/cars/17734-impres...-132-pics.html owners couldnt afford to repair their bikes. There is a style and taste involved. Dont cast judgement. If one were judging you, they could easily say you drive a womens scooter. There are plenty of parts that get sold here in the states that come with the warning "Not for street use" This means it's not D.O.T. approved! Not difficult to understand. Most of those parts will pass inspection. EDIT: If the shop was really picky they'd tell you your exhaust doesnt pass attenuation requirements of 88db. That would be a bigger pain in the rear! literally.

Wow. That rocket is in the pocket. Time for something bigger. I wonder if this is more of a common occurance here in the states.

I was going to say that there is a simple answer to the plate relocator... but then you said they look "silly"....
To each their own... I love the way it helps keep my undertail clean and unobstructed

I think the issue would be both. When people drop their rear too far, they touch the oem undertail with their back wheel (right where the pipe would be).
Not to mention that oem, those cans look like they would be juuuuuust about touching the back wheel if the suspension were fully compressed. Drop the bike at all in the rear, I bet you'd get tire touching the cans before you'd get tire touching the pipes in the undertail. Not sure. Both would be an issue though |

I am fully aware of the CA law... I'm from Oceanside, CA... haven't been pulled over for it yet and I've had it this way for quite a while... of course I don't ride like an idiot either.
Also, you bolded the wrong section... Quote:

@trixter, I guess I skipped over seeing the first bolded statement... I swore I only saw the height section bolded...
I also heard about the power plant ordeal... but didn't pay it much mind

people keep saying this. is ducati too poor to put fairings on the 1198 streetfighter? i hate to come off as an offended prat but when people say that a "street-fighter" is simply a crashed bike or poorly repaired bike.... i mean thats like calling a chopper a crashed bike that someone was too poor to repair properly... is that why there are brand new custom choppers that sell for over a hundred grand? it makes you sound like a stuck-up harley guy who thinks "those crappy japanese crotch rockets are just gonna break down... cause they're cheap pieces of plastic... and not amurikan made" the difference is, you own a plasticy bike and think those bikes without a bunch of plastic are cheap pieces of crap or poorly repaired. in fact, a lot of people would think the ninja 250 is pretty stupid for having fairings when it barely gets to 100mph. why does it have them? style. it's what certain people want. a naked bike is what certain other people want. quit hating.
