Tank protection

Ok, so I have a tank pad, but it isn't really wide enough, and I'm scratching the hell out of the tank by leaning on it. Is there something that I can buy, kind of like the 3m paint protector stuff, something that I can just buy and put on it to protect it?

I just bought some wrap material that kinda looks like satin black carbon fiber with some texture. I'm gonna cut out a design and use it for a protector.

Where did you get it?

And Csmith, it's my jacket, not my pants, but there's no exposed metal, so I don't think a different jacket would solve the problem. I just want to cover it.

Pep Boys automotive. It was $14 for a 6"x84" roll. Several colors and styles to choose from including a kind of white carbon fiber look that was interesting. Do you have a Pep Boys down in Goshen?

Goshen is a tiny town that has nothing, but yes, we have one locally.

Maybe I should just hit up the local auto zone though, see what they have. I really, really, hate pep boys with a passion.
