2nd trip to TWS didn't go as well as the 1st

Well that one didn't go so well for me ......

First weekend out on the bigger bike for the season, was pushing a bit hard, lapping personal bests on street tires, and had a mishap at turn 3. A big mishap.

Major concussion, rashed, bruised, helmet trashed, suit trashed, bike trashed. Generally a bad deal.

So now no exercise, riding, running, cycling, nothing for bit. And to figure out how to get gear up to snuff to take the ninjette to Cresson in Oct.

You're still breathing and no broken bones. It could be worse.

Hope you're back in action by the time I come back to Cresson. That sucks man. And I've seen way to many incidents popping up from TWS. I no longer want to go there.

The reason why you see so many incidents happen at TWS is because it's a super fast track. pair that with bad egos and no self control equates to distaster but that doesn't stop people from driving and riding there.

TWS is set to close in the future.

It is definitely a fast track, and it does lend itself to errors. And its got (like all TX tracks) bumps and sealer and tar snakes and crap all over that tend to catch people out. The super bad endo wreck happened the lvl1 session immediately after I went down. Went to find the paramedic truck again to get the rash cleaned and it was going transporting those guys.

I don't have any video (I really wish I did from a learning standpoint) since my brother can't seem to remember to charge my GoPro when I lend it to him . I was wearing a Technic one piece, Sedici Ultimo gloves, exo1000 helmet, astar smx+ boots, forcefield proL2k back protector and chest protector, and bilt armored shorts.

In all honesty the suit was a little too big after getting back into shape and it contributed to the bruising and rashing. It gave up the ghost on both arm zipper seams, a lower leg stretch panel seam, and tore holes in both arms and my left leg kepro-stretch panels. Bruising to right arm, right shoulder, right ribs, left knee, left lower leg. Rash on right shoulder.

The SMX+ did great but ripped the toe to hell on the left foot, took the end of sole off the toe and the top layer of leather from the toe. Zero foot injuries.

The Ultimo gloves did pretty well, one busted seam on the top of the hand, but zero hand injuries.

The helmet got destroyed as you can see. But it saved my life. Concussion, bruising around the bridge of the nose, bruising on the top back on the head at the impact point. Lots of neck strain from my nogging bouncing around.

No damage to shorts. No butt injuries lol.

Good luck with healing up man, glad you're mostly alright. I think it's kinda crazy how the gear didn't hold up that well, but I'm not really experienced with track crashes at all..

though you don't really hit much if anything in track crashes you tend to be going at a much higher rate of speed which adds it's own severity to the equation

I actually thought the gear did pretty well considering my condition and the bikes condition. Again I have to take responsibility for some of my shape, due to my leathers being a little too big. TWS is fast, its just a fast track. Your moving at a pretty good clip all the way into 3 where it bit me.

Since I don't really know how it all went down its hard to say what the gear went through really. The only thing that is for certain was that there was ALOT of energy to dissipate in my heat impact from the condition of the helmet. I have not seen one as rough as mine post crash.

The rest of the gear ..... honestly probably not atypical of that speed of a crash.

It was the 1000, I have crashed the 400 as well, and a CL-15 from HJC. Never had anything like this happen but it was big off that obviously ended on my head so cant really compare I don't think.
