Noobie from Madera, CA

Hola todos...Hey everyone.

My story...I got "let go" from my job about 2 mths ago and thot to myself what to do now???? Aha! Perfect time to learn to Ride and spend money I don't have! I've been riding for over a mth and put over a 1K miles on my 2009 Ninja 250r. I got her only 4 day after passing the MSF. I had zero prior riding exp & even less knowledge about motorcycles and their mechanics. I absolutely LOVE riding and the reaction I get when people discover its a girl on that bike! jajajaja! Unfortunately, the weather is changing here in the central valley and I'm dreading not riding. I'm a bit gunshy about riding when windy or raining but I love a good challenge so with a bit of encouraging & brainwashing on my part, I know I'll be doing both sooner than later in order to keep adding riding miles.

I did joined a local forum to try to connect w/local riders, however, for good Ninja talk/knowledge Ninjette.org, of course is the forum. I've been checking out the forum since before getting my bike/certification to get educated. I hope to learn a lot more from everyone. I welcome any and all questions, suggestions, ideas, recommendations and advise. Please don't hold back. If anyone has any mod recommendations or DIY ideas send them my way.

My "BabyBlue" for the most part is stock. Only mods are the flushed side blinkers and cut fender. The previous owner did DIY smoke the windshield and painted the stock exhausted black which makes it a bit distinct from others local bikes. As far as gear. Not much there. Financially hard to get all that I'd need. Do have the 2 pairs of gloves. One pair lightweight and other Frank Thomas winter glove. Frank Thomas winter rider jacket. Not sure on the specifics. Shoei 1000 helmet. Again not sure on all specific. Sorry, if I don't have all the biker language/term down yet. I hope that changes with time and knowledge

Anyway, that's part of my story. Hope to make new friends and if anyone is in, near or around my home town and wants to connect let me know. I have a lot of free time right now (lol) and wod like to take advantage of all the riding time I can get. I have yet to group ride, but am looking forward to my first partner ride this weekend.

Thnx and I look forward to talking to everyone.

NEVER STOP RIDING!
